I just got the newest Official Playstation Magazine and it's got a demo for AKI's newest wrestling game, Def Jam Vendetta.

Now I love the WWE, but the last few videogames have been horrendous. Wrestlemania X8 and Raw are terrible games and I've never been a fan of the Smackdown series. Playing a new AKI game has been really wonderful.

Sure I'm disappointed that AKI isn't making WWE games anymore, but Def Jam Vendetta IS the sequel to No Mercy. A few seconds after starting a match I could recognize animations from No Mercy and Wrestlemania 2000. They look even better on the new character models for Def Jam Vendetta and they run much smoother too. I can't wait for this game.

As of now I don't think that this game has a CAW mode, but I played WCW/nWo Revenge even though I didn't like WCW and it still rocked the house. I'll be perfectly happy playing Def Jam Vendetta while I wait for a sequel with CAW, this game is gonna sell like hotcakes.

Def Jam Vendetta, available in March for Playstation 2 and Nintendo GameCube. =D

I've been intrested in it since I've heard of it, I was just waiting for word if there would be CAW or not... if it's in there, it'll be a must buy (for me). Without, well, there's still the prospect of me laying some beatdown with the Method Man but it's an iffy buy...

Just because Def Jam has Rappers instead of Wrestlers doesn't mean you shouldn't get it. There are plently of wrestling moves in this game. There's a Twist of Fate, Test's finisher, D-Lo's Finisher, Eye of the Hurricane, the Shining Wizard, a Sharpshooter, and more. Those are just moves from the for guys in the demo. I can't wait for the full game.

If the rappers are getting you down, they only make up a small portion of the roster. There's a lot of non-rappers you can choose from.

It's not because of the Rappers instead of wrestlers, for me it's all about the CAW. If the next WWE game didn't have a CAW option, I probably wouldn't get it. In fact, Wrestlemania X8 for the 'Cube was the first wrestling game I've played where I didn't use a custom wrestler all the time. And it's definately not the rappers that make me ambivilant towards it. I bought the Wu-Tang PSX fighting game. And halfway enjoyed it. *Ducks and hides*

Shit, if it does have a CAW, and I've got a decent amount of save slots (or the ability to use wrestlers off more than one memory card at once), I've got my new WWE AKI game right here.

It's so sad when old friends fight.

AKI is also behind the Ultimate M.U.S.C.L.E. game that's coming out in a few months for GameCube, and I believe, it DOES have CAW.

A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves money from the public treasure. From that moment on the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most money from the public treasury, with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy followed by a dictatorship.

The average age of the world's great civilizations has been two hundred years. These nations have progressed through the following sequence: from bondage to spiritual faith, from spiritual faith to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependency, from dependency back to bondage.

AKI is behind that game, but it's a little different from their previous games. It's got a jump button for Pete's sake! Def Jam Vendetta is much closer to No Mercy and WM 2000 for me.

I'll probably get both though. =)
