| #1 Posted on 16.2.03 1141.34 | I was telling Greg the Eldest how we have had about 28 inches thus far this winter in the MD area (I'm sure VA is close as well) and that we're currently in the middle of a two foot dump today (Friday's 6 inches notwithstanding).
and his quote was: "Hey DrOp: heheheheh...28 inches would be for babies! We can do that in a week, not a season!! "
Is the next logical step to ask him to get his ass in gear and start digging his way down here, if he's so bad?
DrOp--12 inches high and rising...

Uh oh, and I'm heading to DC for the Rockets/Wizards game in 2 weeks. I've never been in weather below 15. Am I screwed?

| #6 Posted on 16.2.03 1632.01 | Oh, it'll probably be in the balmy mid to high 30s when you get over here. Check the 10 day forecast at weather.com as the time nears. If it's in the 40s, that's a bonus and folks may have on lighter-weight jackets, although it still may feel very cold to you.

Hey, don't blame us, dude! Most of the bad weather we get here in Calgary comes from systems originating in the south hitting cold air up here. Thank God for Chinooks...

| #8 Posted on 16.2.03 1742.05 | Something told me this was a good time to get my wisdom teeth pulled (which i did on Thursday). Now, I don't feel so bad about being laid up all weekend, seeing as how everyone else will be too (sorry for the misery loves company 'tude, but try living on soup and bread for the past few days, and you'll see where i'm coming from). Anyways, we'll see how PG County does as it comes to clearing the streets. Judging on past experience, I'm not holding my breath.
And they're still gonna try to have the Wake-MD game tomorrow? When the snow isn't supposed to stop 'till noon? We shall see....

Now not that I wish any badness of my friend the DrOpMeister, I gotta say I was chuckling a little last night. We have ye olde satellite dish and we were watching the Fox News 5 out of New York last night. Man, you'd have thought it was armegeddon! I am very amused when cities that don't get much snow get lots of snow.
pieman - will not be shoveling down to Maryland to show how bad I am. Will be sitting here with the remote enjoying the day off. Dexter marathon, ya know.

| #10 Posted on 17.2.03 0755.00 | Yikes, Pieman is in Maine? I'm here in Philly dying, and my friend who is from Maine's dad called to make fun of us and how little we have and how "warm" it is. Crazy crazy Maine people.... all of them I know claim 20 degree weather is warm, whereas Atlantians claim 50 degree weather is freezing.

They say that this "snow" is rain that freezes it when it gets really cold. But if you ask me it's just folklore that Northerners have made up to tell their children and Southerners about how hard they have it.
Truth is i'd rather have below 0 weather with 40 inches of snow than have the humidity we have in Bama during the Summer.

Pieman--You're ALL TALK.
Quezzy--I think you'd change your mind after a good ole Noreaster once or twice. I dug today for about 3.5 hours and only managed to dig out my steps and walkway.
I'd give anything to have a balmy 90 degree day with 50% humidity, a long island ice tea and a beach umbrella.
DrOp--wishes he weren't going to Chicago in a week.
