So a very tough N. Dame team gives duke a run for their money. I hope that Missouri can pull off another upset, this time against Ohio St. I'm still a little miffed about B.C. and Texas Tech losing... but if my other picks can hold up i should be fine.

How is everyone else doing?

I caught a good portion of the ND/Duke game this afternoon and was really surprised at how downright sloppy Duke was in the beginning of the second half. Of course, they live to play another day, and that's all that really matters now.

As for my cards (in 2 separate pools), I'm hanging in with the leaders. My Midwest came out of the first round strong, so if they can keep it up, I should wind up in the top 5 in one of the pools. My dad is convinced that I'm a jinx on Bob Knight. Every time I used to picked Indiana to go past the second round, they lost. I did it again this year, but took Texas Tech to the round of 8 - Indiana's still in it, but TTU isn't. I've been disowned for the rest of March.

Damn. Go Tigers. I think they can and will beat Cincinatti (who I'm assuming will handle UCLA) before losing to Oklahoma in the elite eight.

I'm in two different bracket polls, in one, two of my final four are out (Florida and USC) and one of my other final four picks is Southern Illinois (so what if i'm crazy). The other one i still have 3 of my final four left (I have Kansas over Florida in it. In the one where I only have two final four teams left I have Alabama going to the Elite Eight, so that bracket isn't looking too good. But in the other one I have Kent State over Bama, and three of my final four left. So that was is looking good. Also i had Missouri in the Sweet Sixteen in both, and have them over Cincy in the next round too.

In both polls my best bracket has been the West, was 7 out of 8 in the first round (missed Wyoming) and so far 1 for 1 in the second round.

My worst bracket has been in the Midwest, I had Florida vs. San Diego State in the second round and neither made it, so I can't get the winner of the next game either. Also in one of my polls I had Florida vs. Pepperdine in the round of Eight.

Wyoming was robbed. Damn, damn, damn. We outshot Arizona. We out rebounded them. We outblocked them. And they win by 8.... you know why? Bad officiating. Here it is, right in the number: Wyoming Freethrows: 4/7. Arizona Freethrows 20-28. I've lived in Tucson and Laramie, so I'm not biased, and I can say that Wyoming was not hacking at all. They were just blindsided by the Wildcats 6th man (only three of those foul shots, and they went 2/3, were caused by intentional fouls at the end of the game). ARGH, I love Lute Olson, and I love my Cats, but damn, they deserved to lose that game.

Wow. I feel so smart for calling Kent State.
Ohio State losing screwed me up... damn. There goes another Elite 8'er. Losing 1 a round... guess that doesn't bode too bad.

Most of my other picks seemed to work out decently - in other words, with all the other games, I had already lost my Sweet 16 picks.

Wow. Mizzouri played like a top 10 team tonight. Sorry mskj. But that game made my weekend. I dont have Mizzou picked to beat Cinci. but now i wish i did. Very very good game played by mizzou.

Alabama didn't help me out. One bracket i had them losing to pitt but in the other bracket i had them going against Duke. Other than that i am in good shape. I have 4 eliminated picks for the sweet 16 but that's not so bad. I hit 6 today... so tomorrow hopefully i'll hit at least 5 of 6.

I had Ohio State beating Cincinnati, that's a bad one.

I had Alabama going to ELite 8. That's a bad one.

None of my upset picks paid off (Pepperdine, Valpo, Penn) are gone already.

Hey, it's time for Spring Training.

You want to talk about bad officiating then take a look at the beginning of the Florida/Creighton game, every time Udonis Haslem is in the play he becomes Hogan and his opponent becomes Nash and they relive the finger poke of doom. I swear Haslem has gotten more ticky tack fouls than anyone this season.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this. I was so pissed at some of the "fouls" the guy had called on him.

"Hey, it's time for Spring Training."

Yeah, tell me about it. Ohio State gone, Texas Tech gone... As much fun as March Madness is, it needs to be fun in my direction. :(
