He's one of those guys I never quite "got" as a kid, but he was on Carson all the time, so I was quite familiar with him.

Stagger I was an adult then and he was funny and pretty good at observing society and people. Not Carlin funny but funny.

I am sure I'd probably get more from his comedy now than as a kid/teenager.

I do remember him always seeming like he was having the time of his life.

I always found him to be very clever and sarcastic, not as laugh out loud funny, I guess. I liked him about as well as anyone that was on Carson regularly.

Robocop is simply the best satire of both 80's corporate/consumer culture and 80's action movies that I have ever seen. In fact, I'll go so far as to say that it's the best satire I've ever seen.
