Off Scifi.com it gives a look at the new Crow movie. For Buffy/Angel fans it stars David Boreanaz, aka Angel, and he plays the bad guy. Here is the story:

New Crow Takes Wing

Dimension Films has tapped David Boreanaz (Angel), Edward Furlong, Dennis Hopper and Tara Reid to star in Wicked Prayer, the fourth installment in the Crow film series, produced by Edward R. Pressman and Jeff Most, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Lance Mungia (Six-String Samurai) is directing the film, which goes into production in June, the trade paper reported. Emmanuelle Chriqui, Danny Trejo, Marcus Chong and Tito Ortiz round out the cast.

Set in the Southwest, Prayer tells the story of ex-con Jimmy Cuervo (Furlong) and his girlfriend, Lily (Chriqui), who are murdered by Luc Crash (Boreanaz) and his satanic gang, Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, as part of a ritual for Crash to become an immortal demon, the trade paper reported. Reid plays Crash's evil love interest. Hopper plays El Nino, who marries Crash and Lola.

The Crow franchise is based on the comic-book series created by James O'Barr. Mungia and Most wrote the screenplay to the project, with a polish by Sean Hood, the trade paper reported.

coolness. I was never much of a Crow fan, sadly. I was still a little young when it first came out and never really caught on to it's popularity. But i'd definitely give this a look to see David Boreanaz as a villian. And it can't be too bad if Dennis Hopper is in it. Not to mention something new to see the hottness that is Emanuelle Chriqui in.

Oh and Tito Ortiz? Not the UFC fighter, right?

Somehow I sense that this movie will have about the same barely-above-straight-to-video quality that Boreanaz's other vehicle, "Valentine," had. Poor guy. He either lacks the opportunities for better roles or the better judgment to wait for them.

Then again, I'd be willing to rent this movie, so long as I am assured that he will not attempt an Irish accent.

You know Jeb, I know for a fact you are smarter than me but I have to disagree.

Davey's like a pet project, here's a guy they tried (and may still be trying depending on who you ask) to give Superman OR Batman to on a silver platter. This guy's like the BROCK Lesnar of Warner Brothers, so I bet anything they actually shove this one into theatres.

Now let's just hope it's as much like the first without ripping it off, nothing like the second, and uh... haven't seen the third but I heard Dunst SUCKED in it.

The 3rd Crow is not any good. It best left unseen. But if you do want to see it, I think Best buy offers a 3-pack of the first 3 Crow movies. But since the news of the 4th one, I will wait tell they make a 4-pack DVD collection.

Hopefully with the cast, this Crow will be an upswing in the movie series. Crow was a classic, City of Angels was not good, and Salvation was terrible, even with Kirsten Dunst.

Today on MSNBC, Keith Olbermann hosted "Nachman." I thought he was through with politics after "The Big Show" ended.
