For some reason I was thinking of this and I really can't think of any instances of tag teams with one really big guy and one really small guy. The Bulldogs is the closest thing I've got, but Davey wasn't that huge at the time.

The Colossal Connection sorta was, but Haku wasn't exactly a cruiserweight.

ShowMiz and Jerishow. The Big Show and several partners, really.

Kane & X-Pac comes to mind immediately. They had a cool dynamic for a while.

Harry: That's a special feeling.

Scotty 2 Hotty and Albert, The Hip-Hop Hippo.

Apparently Finlay and Hornswoggle got a tag title shot on PPV against Miz and Morrison? I had completely blocked that out of my memory.

I always liked tag teams where there was a technical guy and a power guy. Like the Hart Foundation, or... okay, I can't think of any others right now. But I really liked the Hart Foundation.

Agreed. The beauty of the Hart Foundation, at least according to my dumb kid wrestling logic at the time, was that because it was obvious that Bret was the greatest technical wrestler in the world (because they only time they ever used the term "technical wrestling" at the time was when Bret would tag into a match), it stood to reason that The Anvil was superhumanly strong, or else why would The Hitman have agreed to form a Foundation with him? And also because the Anvil was kinda fat, which meant strong back then.

Also X-Pac and Scott Hall in the nWo.

Rey and Batista won the belts from MNM.

I know Spike Dudley was tag teaming for brief periods of time. Any team with him in it is a David and Goliath team.

Cryme Tyme is in the same kind of category as a lot of these teams in that JTG isn't tiny and Shad isn't as enormous as most of the 'giants' in wrestling, but there is still a noticable size difference.

I still fall into the trappings of not think of randomly paired teams as teams. So there were more than I was thinking. Still I think the concept could be further explored. I remember a random ECW match back in the day that was Rey and 911 Vs. Psychosis and another big guy (anyone?) that was a lot of fun, at one point having the luchadores chickefighting on their partners' shoulders.

And I'd totally mark out for a Fastball Special in the real world...

Does Nash throwing Rey as a lawn dart count?

In all seriousness, if it could be pulled off, Lesner with Rey or Spike Dudley could have worked.

I remember him teaming with Taz (Tag Champs in WWE?), but that was more of a David and David team.

Big Show and Rey Mysterio have teamed. That's probably the überexample.

Ric Flair and Batista is another example.

Men on a Mission. Mabel and Mo.

The MegaBucks. Andre the Giant and The Million Dollar Man.

Hell, didn't Heenan's stable have people like Andre and King Kong Bundy team with smaller guys like Rick Rude? Or am I remembering that wrong?

Hell, if they are trying to get all those masks in the crowd at Mania, let Kane go back to the mask and he could do it.

A pseudo example of what I think would be cool was when Hornswaggle was the Little Bastard and Finley would use him as a weapon.

At one point, Spike Dudley was teaming with Big Show. It literally was The Big Show And The Little Show. Spike even wore an Andre-style singlet.

Not just a good prediction, it's good booking too... It would be like Bret-Michaels 97, only this time there would be an actual pay-off to it (Hogan vs. MacMahon, WM19).
