Reading the Mike Coughlin WWE Raw Report on Dave's site. I totally see this guy as a Dave clone, without the knowledge. Dave is a little less critical than Tom Z, but not by much. But usually Dave bases his opinion on fact and history. But, this Mike guy is a piece of ignorant work. Out of the show last night, one thing was done, Goldbeg got put over as a guy who can kick ass and is working his way up to being champ. The Booker T, welcome and the Rosey Super Spear worked wonders. But Mike says, "Booker T and Goldberg had a cute little buddy-buddy chat backstage. Too bad Goldberg isn’t cute, nor should he be buddy-buddy." and "At least Goldberg didn’t lose to any of the jokers he’s now programmed with, but is this really gonna help at all?" and this gem, "Apparently Goldberg is now feuding with Jericho, Christian, and the 3 Minute Warning. No joke, if you burned money on live TV, it would probably bring in a bigger rating."

Goldberg just finished a fued with Rocky, he had SEGMENTS with 3MW. Jericho is the #2 heel in the company, so fueding with him would seem to be the way to go to move him into a fued with HHH or am I missing something? I guess Michael would rather have had Goldberg spear HHH, Flair, Bischoff, Jericho, and Morley on his first night. But then Michael can complain about Goldberg getting too much too soon.

WWE is doing to fucked up things right now. But I am willing to give them props when due. Rocky/Goldberg fued was handled pretty bad, but last night was golden, IMO. It shows Goldberg can kick ass and planted the seeds for the eventual Jericho/Goldberg match.

OK, enough venting. I can't believe I am actually defending WWE. Geez.

Yeah, good work! Nice observation on the Tough Enough/WCW thing. TE might actually have more people. Isn't Jess from Season 2 on the production team? Does that count?

Sure, but if we start doing accurate counting, then Justin has to count Billy Kidman too and who wants to do that...and Torrie?

Actually Justin's making a Straw Man arguement (hi Steve - actually there's no chance that Steve is reading this but I'm thinking about him when I'm pulling out debate terms, oh wait I had a point here) by just including the guys who were part of the original deal, since there's plenty of other people who were part of WCW but signed seperately (Booker T and Kanyon are the first two to come to mind) that'd total the ex-end of WCW way more than Tough Enough.

Not to mention that those contracts seemed picked up as part of the deal with the expectation that a good % wouldn't make ever make the WCW roster because there were so many people and not nearly enough spots, and since they were mostly young kids, it'd be cheaper for WWE to let them develop on their own rather than pay 'em and wait. No one was looking at the bought WCW guys to be future (and rightly/wrongly it seems like they've thought the TE people COULD be that), just bodies that are filling space and if they're lucky, the last couple spots on the big roster.

Not to mention that if the TE people did already had the TV expierence and pay that the WCW-bought guys were getting before Nitro died and were still stuck in going-nowhere developmental spots, they'd probably would have wanted out of the deals to do something more than sit in the crowd and wave on OVW TV.

For the TE kids, this is a much better oppurtinty than they'd get out in Indy Land (paying < being payed), but for the WCW guys, it made sense on someplace where they'd have a better role - both sides benefit if they look for whatever the WWE thinks they're missing (skill, charisma, height) without the WWE paying for it.

It's an apples/oranges thing, to me. But if you want to imply that WWE cared (past tense) more about Tough Enough than they did WCW, well there's a nice biased sample.

(I still love you anyway Justin. What was weird is that this is longer than any post I've made on Delphi in months, ain't it?)

There's probably more ECW guys that stayed with the company to the end on the WWE roster now than WCW guys that did the same.

It's awesome how this thread title now applies to ME. Thank you for your kind words everyone except fucking Cubs.

"Sure, but if we start doing accurate counting, then Justin has to count Billy Kidman too and who wants to do that...and Torrie?"

They weren't part of the sale, they were signed seperately like Kanyon, HA HA DUMBSHIT.

"It's an apples/oranges thing"

Aside from the fact that the apples and oranges are all PRO WRESTLERS WHO WENT TO DEVELOPMENTAL!! Kaz Hayashi would be my ultimate example except he quit on his own.
