One with the Republican ahead:

Rasmussen Reports has not conducted a survey on this race since February. At that time, Daschle had a three-point lead.

Thune leads 51% to 46% among men and 49% to 47% among women. Investors prefer Thune by a 53% to 45% margin.
This has been a race of huge national interest for quite some time, and a lot of pundits have Daschle going down to defeat. Looks like his time at Senate majority leader has doomed him...

You know, if John Kerry weren't so darn electable, the Democrats would be panicking right now. Oh wait, he isn't and they are.

Actually surprising that the male/female breakdown are both within the margin of error. The key to the election will be the Native American vote. If that comes out huge, Daschle retains. If not, the minority leader gets booted, and any hopes for the Democrats to regain the Senate this election go out the window.

Or, if Democrat tradition holds, the key could be the dead Native American vote.

Wow, I always thought it was "catch a tiger by the toe." I'd heard it the other way when I was in school, but I had just chalked that up to living in Louisiana.
