This hasn't been released to the web yet, but I was just listening to the local Twin Cities sports radio, and Sean jenson jsut got an e-mail from Culpepper telling him that he decided last night he's done. Retiring. Kaput.

Yeah, I cheered like HELL for him in '98, but once he got hurt, he was never the same. His confidence was just gone. I hope you have a great life and enjoy the memories you had.

I almost wrote: "The NFL and Daunte Culpepper have come to mutual terms on his release. They wish him well in his future endevours.", but I didn't have the heart to do it.

Here's Culpepper's open letter to the league. (profootballtalk.com)

Hmmmmm.....maybe he thinks he can shoot for Gene Upshaw's NFLPA position? (Is it still open?)

Cold and wind, perhaps Brett Favre's last shot at a championship, the Giants making a run, and the biggest story may be...? Seinfeld. You see, Eli Manning likes Seinfeld, apparently it's his favorite show.
