Danny Kanell is now a starting quarterback again in the NFL? Have things really gotten this bad? Is Steve DeBerg busy? Seriously though, who is backing up Danny Kanell?

BTW, for lovers of good quarterbacks, the Broncos/Ravens game on Sunday could be mighty painful. Here's hoping Jamal goes for anothe 150 or 200 again.

They might try to get back Jarious Jackson, which should be no problem since I can't think of any other team who would want him right now. Neil O'Donnell is another possibility.

I thought about O'Donnell for them as well ... Hell, he could be the starter over Kannell ... he sure has helped the Titans out in the past.

At the moment it would technically be Rod Smith - maybe the Broncos can install a single wing and let Portis rush for 150-200 yards......

They might as well try to get Babe Laufenberg out of retirement...

Quick! Somebody call Billy Joe Hobert!

Seriously though, wow. This is a great opportunity for Kanell. The Broncos would be stupid not to sign somebody, though, in case Kanell flops or gets hurt. Too bad the trade deadline's passed, or Tampa could send Tom Tupa over to be a punter/QB again.

Sometimes I ask myself why I watch WWE after all the crap it's given me. HLA, necro, HHH, and so on. And then it hits me. That one simple phrase that can be modified and used for anything that gets you down, yet makes you keep coming back.

Every episode has the potential to be the best one ever, and I'll be damned if I'm going to miss it after sitting through this shit.

See that, Denver fans? That's your season flying away, unfortunately. Bye-bye season, fare thee well.

KC is now officially a lock for the AFC West unless they get lazy...

If the WWF decided to use a Super Mario Brothers gimmick...

"Mah gawd, King! Garrison Cade just bounced a fireball toward Rene Dupree!"
"And look, Mark Jindrak just jumped on top of Conway's head! I think he's out cold, JR!"
"What're they up to now..where did that huge pipe come from?!"
"They're going down in the pipe! They're..they're gone!"
--Mike Sweetser

"Oh my god, JR. Cade just shrunk after he was hit by that chair!"
"Here comes RVD, King. What's that he has in that bag?"
"Are those Mushrooms, JR?"
"Cade's eating the Mushrooms. BAH GAWD, KING! Cade just grew twice his size!"

For some reason, when the Skins got Babe, he became a minor celeb around these parts and started a QB contaversy before he left DC...

Maybe they can get Sean Salisbury out of retirement. I am sick of him being on my television all the time. He is okay in small doses, but lately he just acts angry all the time. When he sits in on the Dan Patrick show he is fine and normal, but for some reason on Sportscenter he goes into angry jilted Quarterback mode. AND he is on EVERY Sportscenter, jeez man take a day off. And stop calling Linda Cohn L-Co every two sentences! ARGH!

Sorry I had to get that out.

If I lived back in the wild west days, instead of carrying a six-gun in my holster, I'd carry a soldering iron. That way, if some smart-aleck cowboy said something like "Hey, look. He's carrying a soldering iron!" and started laughing, and everybody else started laughing, I could just say, "That's right, it's a soldering iron. The soldering iron of justice." Then everybody would get real quiet and ashamed, because they had made fun of the soldering iron of justice, and I could probably hit them up for a free drink.

Hey, this is Eric Crouch's big chance! He could come out of retirement AGAIN and show the NFL that he really CAN play quaterback. Then Disney can make a movie about it.

Wisconsin Badgers: 6-2 (What a sever letdown. The fact that despite getting outclassed the whole game, we stayed in it gives me a glimmer of hope for the rest of the season.)

Minnesota Vikings: 6-0 (What a play, huh? Everybody on the team played well and we won, can't ask much more than that.)

Oh, come on. Henry Burris has to be available, right? If not, isn't Dave Brown still kicking around? If only for irony purposes and all.

How about Ray Lucas? If he signs with Denver, then the Broncos and Dolphins basically traded back-up QBs thru free agency, and the equilibrium of sucktitude is restored!

Personally I'm hoping that Parkway Joe Pisacik will come out of retirement or maybe even the human parking meter.....Craig Morton

later in the pm: It's Jarius Jackson on his way to Dove Valley to sign his contract. The Broncos did work out a few other QB's according to today's Denver Post

"And to highlight a busy week of reshaping their roster, the Broncos worked out 11 free agents Tuesday, including four quarterbacks: former No. 1 draft choice Jeff George, former Broncos backup Todd Husak, former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brandon Doman and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Mike Quinn"

Thank God it wasn't Jeff George......
