Maybe WWE.com is becoming more storyline-based like the rumors of the other social aspects (Twitter, etc.) being more storeline-centric?

Or maybe I just don't want to believe it. I have a feeling none of us will REALLY believe it either way until he is either there or totally missing and not mentioned on Monday.

Here is something that hasn't been posted yet (credit: f4wonline.com). People are being told Danielson was fired for choking Justin Roberts with his tie. Hmm.

Which would be very odd considering they gave him work the very next night. (youtube)

Wow, and we were all giving Justin Roberts credit for taking all of that like a champ, too. I even remember Broncolanche posting the animated .gif of the tie choking in question. THAT'S too violent? Come on now.

I'm just dubious because the whole Danielson storyline up 'til now has been about "tweaking the smarks," and this seems custom-made for that.

That tie-choke was crazy, though. He was really hauling back on that.

**EDIT -- oh, wait, they're saying that it was too violent an image for the PG WWE? Okay, that's different from what I assumed, and sounds more like "looking for an excuse."

The very very latest from Dave (you guys should really subscribe, it's great) is that someone in power complained and they want him back when it "blows over." So it sounds legit but likely not truly permanent. And he probably didn't show his balls to Stephanie.

I (really) just don't know what to say or what will happen. I'll have to wait and see, I guess. If he is indeed fired .. I and the rest of the IWC will cry for weeks. And the NXT angle will take it's first major blow.

I am going to say the NXT storyline is dead or at least on life support. Even though Cena is supposed to feud with Wade through the summer, Bryan is the heart of the entire thing. The rumors I have heard about Monday Night is that no one knew what was going to happen only Wade was going to come down and interfere in the match. Thus the ensuing chaos was real or as real as WWE gets. So, the Chimmel thing maybe true, but that would be on the WWE for not telling people what was going to happen. Of course, Bryan may have decided to take liberties when he shouldn't have.It doesn't explain why they would have him work the next night to further the angle. I asked awhile ago if TNA isn't better for the ROH gang considering Desmond's push at the time. I was almost universally panned, if this is true, I feel pretty justified. The problem is I don't know if I said that here or on another site, so I have no idea where I need to feel justified.

How does this (unforeseeable) firing have anything to do with what you said? Daniel Bryan for most of the time was the top star (despite never winning) of NXT, while Desmond Wolfe was what on TNA?

If Roberts filed a complaint with human resources, it might have taken a few days for a decision to be rendered.

I wonder if the NXT rookies from season 2 will file a complaint against their pros as well.

Here's a nice, concise write up, WHY DANIEL BRYAN WAS RELEASED, by Mike Johnson of PWInsider.

http://www.pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.php?id=48269

He writes: "For those who are thinking this is an angle, I am told by everyone I have spoken to that it is not, although I want to point out a number of wrestlers in the company do believe it is a work."

I would have added "and smarks" in parentheses after "wrestlers in the company" in that sentence.

Wasn't someone else (Slater?) choking Cena with a ring rope as well? Shouldn't they be getting the can as well if this is the case?

Meltzer also called Bryan a "scapegoat" which to me means that a producer or someone booked the spot in the first place and Danielson has to take the heat for now, which would also fit in with them wanting him back when this blows over.

Yes, it was Slater. If you go back and watch though he pulls the rope over to choke him and then stops after a couple seconds. I remember thinking when it was going down that I was diappointed he stopped because it would have been a cool spot but maybe he got carried away and one of the other people in the ring told him to stop. Of course Bryan was on the outside with the tie choking so maybe there wasn't someone near him to tell him it was a bad idea.

One day you'll realize that working on Superstars is a far better position than working on a show that is being beaten in the key demo ratings by a midget wrestling reality show.

For what it's worth, every video on this page works except for the NXT angle (which gives a 404 error): http://www.wwe.com/shows/raw/videos/14614598/

(Editorial: I'd say this sort of event explains why it's a bad thing for wrestling fans if Linda wins the election.)

This came from Jason Powell at ProWrestling.net Apparently, Jesse Ventura seems to think that the United States follows the same policies as the Nazis. I seem to think that he is insane, and it's only getting worse. http://www.prowrestling.
