Sing this special song. It's just for you.
Sorry about breaking the columns last week, Zed(s).

THIS is my icon attempt this week... I'm working on a GH/RB hybrid font "DLC" logo.

Siouxsie & the Banshees
"Hong Kong Garden"
"Kiss Them for Me"
"The Killing Jar"

Blink 182 "Dammit"

Silversun Pickups
"Well Thought Out Twinkles"
"Melatonin"

The Psychedelic Furs "Pretty in Pink"

I don't know the Silversun Pickups songs well enough to merit a purchase; I need to give a good listening to that whole or album.

I also don't know who the other songs/bands are, but Dammit is Blink's best song off their best album so I'd call this a win.

P.S. Rumor has it that the 25 free songs are out on the 4th. So register your game online if you haven't already.

Also, Wikipedia (which never lies) says GH: World Tour has an R.E.M. trackpack out this week... but the official website doesn't list any DLC for GH:WT.

EDIT~! Your icon is better, Powers That Be, but if it was white text instead of white outline, it'd be much more legible.

"Dammit" was one of the big selling points of Guitar Hero: World Tour for me and now it's popping up in RB. That's...nice. Don't I feel like a sucker.

See what happens when you miss rehearsal?

If it makes you feel better I think I had Rock Band for like 3 months before they announced 2, and 2 months after that RB Deluxe dropped to $120 here.

And then I confirmed I wanted GH:WT if only for composer which, as it turns out, only has drums on the 360 Version.

In conclusion, that combined with LBP means I want a PS3 but if I get one I'll have to either buy the RB2 drums for 360, ANOTHER GH Drumset which works on 360, or bite the bullet and spend the extra few hundred on the super fancy "one drum brain away from being an electronic drumset" kit for RB2 on 360. All b/c the RB drums suck (who is that bass pedal made for? Kirby? why can't the blue pad tell I'm hitting it when the softest hit it will detect sounds like a marble fired from a potato gun into a brick) and are wired.

Yet I still love this game to death.

I never had any problem with the RB1 drums - haven't tried my (wireless) RB2 drums out yet - but I've heard about problems with some of the Guitar Hero World Tour drums. They've released a downloadable drum tuning kit for your PC because people were having issues.

In unrelated news, I must admit I'm quite surprised to see so much love for Blink-182.

Huh? I'm planning on getting GH:WT for the Wii, but are you saying my composer won't work with the drums?

You believe me, don't you?

Punk pop Blink is fun and occasionally moving (especially when they show shades of Boxcar Racer) , but plain punk Blink (CONSONANCE!) was straight awesome, and their sophmoric lyrics were still fitting because they weren't in their 40s.

Travis is a better drummer but pre-Travis Blink is a fond remembrance for us M2/12 Angry Viewers watchers.

No idea on the Wii version, but the 360 version doesn't allow you to lay down guitar or bass tracks, Only drums.
