While TNA should do away with some current WWE castoffs, he could have a great X Division future ahead of him. If he was allowed to either drop the heel Iraq-invasion/anti-racist gimmick and:
1) go back to his Flying Carpet gimmick; or 2) simply be an athletic guy looking to win
he could do well with that group of performers. And I don't think the audience would be too stupid to be confused by Dutt and Daivari competing as distinct guys.

Beat me to it by about 90 minutes! I don't know about anyone else, but if Daivari tagged up with Shark Boy and resurrected the flying carpet senton, I'd watch iMPACT! every single week without question (well, at least that segment, anyway).

I agree. I think TNA should have a one-in-one-out policy for WWEjects. Daivari can come in if they get rid of, say, Dustin Rhodes -- and Booker and Sharmell can come in if they get rid of BG & Kip. Yeah, I think that's alright.

Last 5 movies seen: The Hoax ***1/2 - Monster House *** - 28 Weeks Later **1/2 - 3:10 to Yuma (2007) ***1/2 - Eastern Promises ***1/2
The last time I saw him, he looked pretty ripped, and I wondered why not much speculation was made. Compare him to his debut a few years ago and he has really packed on the muscle. During a period where lots of guys looked flabbier (Kennedy, Snitsky, an Venis) he seemed to be going the other direction.

I'm really sad by this. I LIKED him damnit! He was more entertaining then over half the idiots they use week after week and I thought his matches were fun to watch.
He'll make an excellent addition to the floundering X Division though, so there is a plus side to it.
Was there a reason given? What's the dirt sheets saying about this?

-- As noted before, Shawn "Khosrov" Daivari was officially granted his release from WWE earlier today. As it turns out, he actually asked for his release from the company for unspecified reasons a few weeks ago. WWE granted it, but they hadn't actually completed the paperwork until this week. He had been under contract to WWE since August 2004.
-- Daivari is featured in the main event of the most recent edition of WWE Heat. He wrestled Cody Rhodes in a losing effort. That was his last match with the company as he didn't go on WWE's tour of Europe this week.

Only time Dustin has been entertaining the last 7-8 years has been with Booker, so perhaps they could actually pair them up.
I liked Daivari, too. I thought he was great in the ring. I just wish he didn't do the entire "shouting at the top of his lungs in Arabic or Farsi" schtick.

Interesting in that it's also where Booker (and his new indy promotion) are based. And same situation where he asked for it.
MAYBE THEY'RE IRL FRENDS!!@@!11!!!!1O1!!!!one
He was a big dude, and I know the comment was made that he looked physically bigger than he did when he showed up. However, he was wearing a suit 99% of the time during his tenure with Hassan, and I only recall seeing him in the ring maybe two or three times (and none of those instances I recall vividly).

Wow, what a difference a few hours make. I was just on the site not 3-4 hours ago, and Chief Morely was the leader with over 23% of the vote, with RVD in second with 21% of the vot.
