the push for the two greatest athletes have finally begun. D-von was beyond fastastic last night and Batista showed Kane no mercy. Those two represent what real wrestling is all about so just sit and enjoy Raw. It only a matter of time before one of those two hold the world title.
Look at the possible matchup:
Steiner vs. D-von RVD vs. D-von Booker T vs. D-von HBK vs. D-von Triple H vs. D-von Steiner vs. Batista Booker T vs. Batista HBK vs Batista RVD vs Batista Triple H vs Batista
I wouldn't call his singles push unsuccessful.He was just put in the ring with people who can't work and as good as he is even he can't perform miracles.

I probably would have, if almost every post you'd made on the board was about how you wanted to see a Angle/Benoit push, as you do the Bautista/D-Von push. Plus the fact that those seem like the two most random wrestlers to deserve a main event push (especially given the fact that neither is particularily over...Ok, D-Von is, but only WITH Bubba, and D-Von is firmly behind guys like Van Dam, Jericho, Kane in the WWE Push Pecking order).
So yeah, take two wrestlers that nobody expects to be pushed, say that that the WWE should push them and everybody should be anticipating their main event feuds/matches, and you have yourself a "gimmick".
D-Von is a solid tag-team wrestler, and Bautista is an o.k. power guy. D-Von is getting a revived Dudley's push, and Bautista is getting the standard big man push to lead him into the probable Horseman angle with Flair.
I'd expect neither in a regular Main Event any time soon.

I don't think either one of them is going to hold the WORLD TITLE anytime soon, so I wouldn't hold your breath.
And, hey, I'm as big of a D-Von fan as anyone--I liked him more than Bubba initially, but he's a tag team wrestler. That's all there is to it.
Bautista I like--but time will tell...
They should push Batista as the RAW monster and have D-VON DUDLEY beat Brock Lesnar and become the Smackdown monster and have a big payoff fight on PPV.
Those two are the future of pro-wrestling.

When D-Von himself says on WWE.com - like he did this past Sunday night - that it's his own opinion that he's "most useful" to the WWE as a tag team wrestler, I think you no longer have a point.

I doubt this match is gonna be any higher than 3rd on the card after the championship fight and Steiners first feud(assuming these arent one and the same).
In any case I wouldnt imagine we'll see Kane headlining in a singles match for a while after the shitty ratings for his HHH feud. Unless of course the writers realise that maybe, just maybe, that was their fault
I actually LIKED the Reverend gimmick... I am surprised and disappointed that they did not at least keep a shell of it when booting him back to the tag ranks... but oh well. I personally thought te standard Dudley gimmick was starting to get tired...

Bautista looks like a roided-up Pee Wee Herman. D-Von could've played the Laurence Fishburne cowboy character (with magic lasso) to complement him. The WWE missed a great opportunity to add them to the Smackdown tag team ranks!

I can't believe I didn't see it till now D-von will be the 4th hourseman. He'll turn on the other Dudley's, join back up with Batista as was Flair's plan all along, and join with HHH for exciting 3 man tags against Kane, Bubbah and Spike who will be manages by AA, staking their claim to the title of the real 4 hourseman, until Flair and AA turn on their respective groups and reunite with a returning Mongo and Jeff Jarret. For the wrestlemainia main event of HHH, Batista, and Kane vs. Dudleyville vs. Flair, Mongo and JJ. It will be the best ever. In other words I got nothing, so I'de be the perfect writer for the WWE, as long as they don't mind spelling mistakes. Vince call me.

I do like Batista. A WHOLE LOT. He's a local boy and he's a monster. He's like a freaking grizzly bear in the ring yelling and screaming and mauling people. I think he'll go far.
