Probably not. Buzz says that Spike turns on Rey and we get Rey/London/Kidman vs. DudleyzX3 at SummerSlam.

They could still work a TLC into that, maybe.

It probably won't be TLC but this match has been added to the Summerslam card according to 411:

Mysterio, Kidman, and London vs. The Dudley (D-von, Spike, and Bubba)

So in the end, only one Smackdown! title is being defended a week from Sunday.

The way that I am thinking they might go is making it so that the winners of the match win the other teams title, ie if the Dudleys win then Bubba and D-Von become tag champs or if London, Kidman and Mysterio win then Mysterio becomes the cruiserweight champ.

What ever happened to a plain old 6-man tag team grudge match? Isn't there enough reason on both sides for this match to happen, without titles being involved? The titles can get involved after Summerslam. For now, the Spike heel turn is recent enough for the match to be about revenge.

It's sad seeing Matt vs. Kane taking up a split brand PPV spot. Jebus when was the last time Matt Hardy actually had a match on Raw? I think he had a intergender tag match over 2 months ago, I dont' even remember a singles Matt Hardy match this entire summer... Whatever, after their piss poor display at the previous PPV this match should have been a 10PM Raw match at the best. I could take this for a brand only PPV but for a split brand PPV don't like seeing it on a split PPV.

The IC match could be interesting, I don't think Edge is going to lose the title so quickly after defeating Orton who's in the World title match now. Maybe Edge can officially turn heel at Summerslam, I just don't see him joining Evolution as some has suggested, it doesn't seem like a smooth fit. It will be more interesting who'd be more popular at Summerslam as it's in Toronto & how it might effect a heel turn.

I am wish that Angle & Eddie deliver, I'm sure they will. I haven't enjoyed Eddie for months now, maybe this can boost my interest in him... I must say they sold me well for HHH vs. Eugene.

Alot of champions in the 6 man London/Kidman/Rey vs. Dudley's three. NO title on the line but the match should be good... Is the U.S title on the line for each of the best out of 5 falls between Booker & Cena

Oh yeah the two world title matches. Orton/Benoit will be interesting to see if Orton can truly step up to another level in ring at a main event, which I am assuming this will be it... JBL/Taker, humm I'm sure Undertaker entrance will be cool. Doubt Taker will win even though I am rooting for him.

smark/net attack wienerville advisory is raised to YELLOW alert - Elevated (JBL is the new WWE champion, good gawd hide under the desk. But Benoit is World Champion allowing some safety in the IWC)- 6/28

From my understanding, the US title is not on the line Sunday, and it can only change hands if John Cena wins 3 matches. So if Cena wins a week from today, that gives him 1-0 to Booker T in the series, but he wouldn't be US champ.

So...what else CAN be added??

RAW:
World Championship: Chris Benoit [c] vs. Randy Orton (with Ric Flair)
Grudge Match: Triple H (with Ric Flair) vs. Eugene (with William Regal)
WWE Intercontinental Championship: Edge [c] vs. Batista (with Ric Flair) vs. Chris Jericho
Til Death Do Us Part (Winner Marries Lita): Matt Hardy V1 (with Lita) vs. Kane

SMACKDOWN!:
WWE Championship: John Layfield [c] vs. The Undertaker
Grudge Match: Eddie Guerrero vs. Kurt Angle
WWE United States Championship Best of 5 Series, Match 1: Booker T [c] vs. John Cena
Six-Man Tag Match: The Dudleyz (Spike, D-Von & Bubba Ray) vs. Rey Mysterio, Billy Kidman & Paul London

HEAT match will likely be La Resistance defending the World Tag Team Championship against Rhyno & Tajiri. I can't honestly think of any PPV-worthy Smackdown matches to add.

RAW's next show is Unforgiven on September 12th. Smackdown's No Mercy goes October 3rd, and odds are we'll get a Booker/Cena Match 5 of 5 there. Between now and then there are Smackdowns in Hamilton [Aug 17], Fresno [Aug 24], Sacramento [Aug 31], Tulsa [Sept 7], Spokane [Sept 14], Phoenix [Sept 21] and unspecified on September 28th. So, 3 more matches on 7 possible shows.

I, personally, think the loser of the 'Til Death Do Us Part match should be forced to marry Lita as punishment, but that's neither here nor there.

I smell an E and C reunion.

The setup is just too perfect.

KoC-

That is brilliant! I never saw an E and C reunion coming, but that would be the perfect setup! Edge's participation in that group would give a lot of creditability to that faction. It would also be a big boost to the tag team ranks if E and C came back together, Trish as a singles champ, and the big goof running in as the "Problem Solver".

Just added to SummerSlam:

Diva Dodgeball:
The Divas [Trish Stratus, Molly Holly, Jazz, Gail Kim, Nidia, Stacy Kiebler & Victoria] vs. The Diva Hopefuls [Michelle, Christy, Maria, Tracie, Carmella, Amy & Joy]

Hoo-fucking-ray. I just can't wait to pay cash money to watch fucking Dodgeball on my wrestling show.

How can you say that, this is either going to rule...
WWE realised the Diva thing is failing and is going to bring the pain to the bimbos by having the real Divas destroy them. Each one of them has more strength than any of the bimbos combined..except Stacy (can she be on the other team??)
OR
It's going to suck big time because someone decided the wrestling babes have to pretend to be slow dumb fucks and get hit by the sissy girlie girls..*sigh*

Rest of the card looks cool. Actually a nice twist to have Rhyno & Tajiri not make the 2 minute deadline and carry it over to the next month/ppv..;) Swerve~!

JBL-Taker could be a nice brawl. It looks crap beforehand but they can both work stiff as hell and make it fun.

I hope Batista wins the title with Edge turning heel and going after Jericho. This result in Christian coming in and helping Edge (heh brother..that chumpstain always wanted to steal my spotlight too)

I SO don't want Orton to win the title yet. Too soon.
With Brock I could believe the hype. With Randy I need a few more months more hype. Have him lose with a rollup in a hardfought match that makes him look good despite losing and then having another shot in a few months...

I like the card. Even the 'crap'...yes..V1 vs Kane is gonna be so horrible due to the angle that it will be funny ;)

*sigh* Why bother?

Edge & Christian putting their differences aside to battle a common enemy in Jericho? ... I love it ...

I dig the idea of the Edge, Christian, Trish & Tomko stable ... "Team TECT", anyone?

I'm impressed that Freeway can name all the divasearch girls.

Edge turning heel in Toronto, joining Christian and Trish (and Tomko I guess lol) would be beyond cool, especially in their home city... Urh I hope Trish being in that stupid dodgeball game doesn't mean this won't happen.

But what would team their name be? Trish you can go with first or last name I guess, so maybe Team CEST or SECT lol

I like the E & C reunion idea too, if only because I was such a HUGE fan of the team and because this is probably the only way Edge can retain some momentum(well I mean a heel turn would). Like I said in the SD thread(don't ask why I said it there, I'm just off) Edge needs the heel turn a lot more than Jericho does. jericho turning heel would be stupid quite frankly, and pairing him back up with Christian(YUCK, Canadian dollar..shudder) will make take away from the whole..you know, Wrestlemania XX thing.

It doesn't have to be like in 2000, and it never can be. They don't have to be the kind of tag team they were then, and Edge particularly's singles push doesn't have to be stalled. The other three can be his sort of back up and he can be kind of the HHH of the group, or like Kurt's role in Team RECK. Mmm, Edge being evil I like it. Hope they don't have him sucking up to HHH though.

I always though that back in 2000 they should have paired Trish with E & C for their feud against the Hardys. Three Canadian blondes agains tEam xTrEmE..why not? Sure beats the atrocity that was T & A(What in the world was that about anyway? Why were those two being pushed?), and Trish and Lita were enemies the time anyway, so it really would've made sense. But I suppose they can make it work now.

This isn't to say it will happen, but I'm liking the possibility anyway.

Net Hack....WWE.com is my friend.

-This is the 17th SummerSlam, and only the 2nd to take place outside the United States (the other being 1992 in London's Wembley Stadium).
-The World Heavyweight Championship has never changed hands at SummerSlam, but a World (World/WWE/WCW) Title changed hands in 1997 (Bret Hart over Undertaker), 1999 (Mankind over Stone Cold & HHH), 2001 (The Rock over Booker T) & 2002 (Brock over Rock).
-The heel has won the final match at SummerSlam in 1997, 2002 & 2003. Three times. You can argue 1993, too, because of Yokozuna losing to Lex Luger by countout but keeping the WWF Title. The point? Faces are 14-3 in the main event.
-This is the first SummerSlam to actually take place during the Summer Olympics, and the 5th PPV to take place during them. Other WWE PPVs to take place during Olympics: No Way Out during the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, No Way Out during the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, In Your House: International Incident during the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta & Unforgiven during the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney.
