Why isn't there a Current Events folder to discuss the news of the day and whatnot. I know there is a Politics Forumn and a Random Folder and I guess those are what are generally used. Has there ever been any discussion of adding one?

What more do you want, politics is well politics. Random is entertainment&technology. You got all major sports covered. All I can think of is weather, then we'd have the entire six o'clock news.

The Jessica Lynch thread is a good example of a current event.

Something like that or a true crime thing I generally put in the Politics folder, because that's how the conversation carries on more often than not.

Unfortunately, there's no translation program that can capture context and nuance in written text. Also, idioms and words that mean more than one thing are obviously problematic for translation programs.
