NBCSN has very occasionally aired curling events in non-Olympic years, mostly rebroadcasting the Canadian coverage. I think the problem is possible US fans know curling is on during the Winter Olympics but wouldn't think to find it any other point, NBCSN is not going to spend much money advertising it when they've got safer bets to deal with, and another network is unlikely to pick up the sport without having the Olympics.
I really think the Scott would go great here, if there was some decent advertising. Too bad it's over for this year.
