I know that, like me, you're DEATHLY interested in the California Libertarian primary. I don't usually kiss and tell, but for the record, here's how I voted:

President: Aaron Russo (russoforpresident.com)
Senate: Gail Lightfoot (lightfootforussenate2004.org)
State Senate: Michael Laursen (votelaursen.org)
Judge: Griffin Bonini (bonini4judge.com)
Judge: Teresa Guerrero-Daley (teresaguerrero-daley4judge.com)

There wasn't an LP candidate in two contests. (Geez, they never ask ME to run - must be because I won't give 'em any of my money)

Interestingly, one of my former (current? Who can tell at this company) coworkers is running as a Libertarian for state assembly, but not in my district (electcollier.org). He's running unopposed, so I bet he wins the primary.

You know what's scary is when a guy runs and the *Libertarian Party* says, "uh oh, this guy's too extreme for US." That's Michael Laursen's opponent, John Webster (jwebster.com). Apparently he called me while I was at work on Sunday, which is too bad, because I would have loved to have asked him "Seriously, why should I vote for an insane man?"

And the CA props:

Proposition 55: NO (protecttaxpayers.com)
Proposition 56: NO (noblankchecks.com)
Proposition 57: NO (tommcclintock.com)
Proposition 58: NO (tommcclintock.com)

(Sorry, Guv)

Regional Measure 2: YES (measure2.org) (yeah, down with taxes but SCREW them people what pay bridge tolls!)

Santa Clara Measure A: YES (sccvote.org) (595K PDF)

Thanks to the League of Women Voters (smartvoter.org) for helping me research my votes.

If I remember my recall headlines correctly, I believe Santa Clara was one of the very last counties to get their touchscreens installed.

I voted via touchscreen today.

The set of machines at the poll up the hill from my house was not working, so there were people trying to vote provisionally at my poll. I hear this was more of a problem at other places.

It went OK - I didn't like that when you chose a vote you couldn't click on the new person if it picked wrong, you had to pick the same person again and then pick the new one. That's bad UI.

I did not write a candidate for the presidential primary. Apparently, I could have chosen either my N/P registration or my Rep registration -- who knew I could be registered twice?

Willful ignorance of science is not commendable. Refusing to learn the difference between a credible source and a shill is criminally stupid.

In Fresno County, we don't have touchscreen. We vote using a scantron type system. It's been done like this since 1999.

In the context of baseball, the use of drugs hurts only the player. In the context of baseball, the use of alcohol hurts only the player. In the context of baseball, womanizing hurts whom? Maybe the wife of the player? In the context of baseball, felonies are crimes against society, not against baseball. In the context of baseball, gambling is the only crime against baseball.

Gambling, in the context of baseball, is a capital offense and Rose has richly earned-- hell, he agreed to-- his death sentence. Let him hang.

The fact that there are even LP primaries is kinda cool anyway, and a bonus that they seem to be competative.

I'm pretty sure our Presidential primaries are non-binding, though, so it's ultimately a "pointless exercise."

Delegates to the national convention will be picked next weekend at our State Convention (ca.lp.org). Even though it's in San Jose, are they nuts?! I can't miss WrestleMania!

"I bet its just cause you don't like rap. Cause your gay fat mother fucking bitch ass hoe!" It's actually an explanation why CRZ suddenly doesn't like rap... The "just cause" being a good reason. Cause: (several adjectives) hoe.
