Way back in the day on WrestleManiacs was when I was first introduced to the great CRZ. I read his reports religiously, as I felt that he had a quick wit, and while he took the time to recap every show word for word, he didn't take them or himself all that seriously. I thought that he had a dark sarcasm about him, which if found even more appealing. For years I was fooled. I come to this site, and all of my original thoughts about the man, the myth, the legend, were wrong. There is such a thing as a man who believes his own hype, and Our Zed has fallen into this trap. I know that this will get me in the banned folder, but I feel the need to say it. The majority of you here will disagree with me because you're all sheep. Welcome to the dictatorship. God forbid anyone suggests something that disagrees with the almighty ruler. Example:

Thanks, man.
That's totally gay and no I won't. Believe it or not, people who actually LIVE here are much happier not having it dredged up every time some tourist comes in from California. (At least the - hmm - SIX people I know
I don't think it gets more pretentious than that... I am amazed at the audacity of this man to call the idea of another man "totally gay". His reasoning as to why this idea is "totally gay" is because from the SIX people he knows in NYC, he has come to the conclusion that they would rather not talk about it. Wait, I might be being a bit hasty here... I mean, surely he must have "interacted" with literally hundreds of other NYC residents, and I'm certain that he stopped and asked every single one of them how they felt about the September 11. Wait no, he doesn't need the opinions of others to formulate an opinion, afterall, he runs a WEBSITE!
So let me break it down for you. Saying a prayer for those involved in the September 11 tragedy is NOT "totally gay". Far from it. I am not a religous man by any stretch of the imagination, but I still felt the need to say a few prayers for the two loved ones I lost, plust the countless others lost IN THE FUCKING BUILDING! I, and others I've talked to who had the same experience as I did, appreciate ANY action showing rememberence and respect. FUCK YOU to say that it's gay. YOU WERE NOT HERE. YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED. Can you still taste the smoke on your tongue? Did you breathe the air for weeks afterwards? Did you wake up to see the skyline smoking? Suggesting that one says a prayer for the fallen is not bringing up a touchy subject; it is attempting to pay some respect. Something that you apparently DO NOT HAVE!
Since I'm going to get banned for this, here's some attempted payback. Your life is a fucking joke. You are a GROWN MAN who plays pokemon. You have a "girlfriend" who lives across the country. You are a mark for yourself, and your ego won't let any opinion other than yours exist. Fuck the Kings, fuck everything you stand for, and FUCK YOU.
While I'm no CRZ fanboy, I must say I agree with his impeccable logic in that matter. Why should he say a prayer for something on behalf of complete strangers on an internet wrestling message board? Seriously, it's completely absurd. I don't pray for any of you before I go to bed at night, and I generally don't think of anybody on this board unless I'm actually looking at this board.
On top of that, the bizarre patriotism/fanaticism the terrorist attacks created have gone on long enough. Yes it was a tragedy, but there is a time to move on.
I liked the "Wait no, he doesn't need the opinions of others to formulate an opinion" part best. Are we *supposed* to wait on other people's opinions before we can come up with our own?
Kb, there are many, MANY finer examples you could cite if you wanted to hang the "pretentious" tag on me. MODO but this ain't one of 'em.
I stand by my previous comments - and I don't really feel like I have to explain them to you. You either feel me or you don't. There's no problems either way, my man.
Believe it or not, it takes a lot more than one contrary opinion to get me to ban somebody - I would have thought people would have caught on to that by now.
Appreciate your feelings here BUT surely you agree that asking someone else to have the same emotions as you have is unrealistic? You can't ask CRZ to behave a certain way if he doesn't FEEL a certain way can you?
I think, Kb, that it would be more disrespectful for CRZ to actually pray there than it would be for him not to. I feel the same way. I was in NY less than a month after it happened, but I did not visit the site. Imagine if a complete stranger came and cried at your loved one's funeral. Wouldn't you find it insulting that someone with no real connection to this situation could come in and claim to feel as much grief as you do? In the end, those of us further from the situation can never know exactly what it was like for those who were there, and I think it's better to maintain a respectfl distance. Imagine if your wife died, and your happily married friend tried telling you that he knows how you feel. That's the best analogy I can give you.
Edited, because I didn't read all of KidBrooklyn's post: You realize you contradicted yourself in that post? You blast CRZ for knocking someone's opinion, then you turn around and flame him like you're some kind of Jr. High bully.
And, uh, CRZ... what is MODO?

The man's talking about logic. We're talking about universal Armageddon!

On a field trip once, a while ago, my band bus drove by the Federal Building's remains in Tulsa. A group of the most obnoxious, superficial people I have ever known gathered to PRAY. People that, in junior high were having sex, drinking, and lord knows what else just CRYING over 160 something people they didn't know. I may be alone, but I find tears for the sake of tears and prayers for the sake of prayers as disrespectful as it gets and I understand CRZ's reasoning behind his decision. You can change or shape your opinions with others thoughts but only a sheep won't have an opinion to shape in the first place.
Edit:And attacking his personal life and hobbies? Very mature of you to state your opinion and end with that. Who's pretentious here?
... I am amazed at the audacity of this man to call the idea of another man "totally gay".
No way anyone should tell someone else how to lead his life but CRZ is romo to have said this. /edit without explaining to the original poster why he thought the idea was bad.
KidBrooklyn (ooh you must be From The Streets), welcome to, oh, two weeks ago? Way to be on the ball thar, pally. This must be a subject you reeeeeeeeeally care about.
You want to talk about pretentious? Oh ho ho ho. Lo, that I did taste the smoke upon mine tongue as yonder buildings crumbled, so violated by evil, wicked hands, so must ye speak not of gayness lest ye be judgd gay. Christ on a bike, go say all the prayers you fucking want, but dame, don't be all acting like you can speak for anyone except yourself, especially when you speak like THAT.
Oh, and P.S., the Kings rule.
Love, Kim

Nor would I want you to pray for me before you go to bed at night. But praying before going to bed and praying for thousands of innocent lives that were lost are two completely different things. I never said that CRZ should have taken it upon himself to say a prayer for the lost on behalf of his website world. He was asked.

Yeah, sorry about that... that sentence makes no sense. My bad.
Originally posted by PalpatineWI think, Kb, that it would be more disrespectful for CRZ to actually pray there than it would be for him not to.
I do not think that CRZ should have stopped in the Village, purchased a monk robe, sat atop the ruins and prayed for hours. I do however feel that it would have been a nice gesture to say a prayer in passsing.

Saying a prayer in passing and claiming to feel as much grief as I did/do are two completely different things.

I'm actually an elementary school bully.

So were you in Junior High at the time or are you speaking of their character? And I must assume that you are superior to them because lord knows that you never did anything "bad" when you were in Junior High. Having sex does not prevent one from praying.

More disrespectful than defecating in your mother's mouth?

Thank you for pointing out my immaturity and pretentiousness. I must say that it was quite mature of you to do so.

Well, since I am from the "streets", I don't think as quick as you white folk be. Word up son. Yo, I'm fittna gets me some bug juice if you wanna come wit, dad be cool, "pally".

What's that you be speakin on? I don't understand cuz I'm from Da Streetz. Hey, you said it best. Judge not lest ye be judged. And Christ couldn't possibly ride a bike; his arms would never reach the handlebars with that cross in the way.

Is Brooklyn in the house? Yes, yes I think it is.
No genius, those kids were praying for no reason. Almost all of them didn't care and most were even making jokes about the bombing AND the photograph of the dying baby in the firemen's arms before AND after the trip. Sex in junior high doesn't make you a bad person, no. But the kinds of things those people did DO. I'm not above any of them but I would NOT have done what they did. I'm sorry if you can't understand what I'm talking about and I am DONE replying to you.
CRZ: Please do us a favor, brother. If you can...visit Ground Zero, and say a little prayer on behalf of all us wieners.
Thanks, man
Man, did you ever take the time to stop and read that quote. This request IS fucking gay. From the guy saying the word "brother" to him even suggesting that CRZ say a prayer for everyone on this site...
and say a little prayer on behalf of all us wieners.
That part right there I find almost embarrassing. Seriously, read THAT.
Why do you care if CRZ is saying prayers FOR you? Say your own fucking prayers if you want a prayer said you schmuck.
I went and saw the Trade Center a month after the towers had fallen. It's horrific. Go there yourself. See how important it is to say a prayer on behalf of all of us who never requested such a thing in the first place. Maybe just maybe you might realize how dumb it is to suggest that someone say a prayer for "BigDaddyLoco", "Kidbrooklyn", and "eviljonhunt81". Get out in the real world and get over yourself.
CRZ was right on this one the suggestion was totally gay.
OK - let's say that CRZ did stop to say a prayer at the former WTC site. To whom should he have prayed? God? Allah? Buddha? The Great Spirit? You're making quite a jump in presuming that all residents of Wienerville subscribe to the same religion, or that CRZ would subscribe to the same religion as any of us.
So CRZ is opinionated. Oh save us, a man with *opinions*! Heaven forbid that a person should take an opinion, much less one that's opposite yours! I may agree with CRZ, I may not. But he has the right to have his own opinion, and broadcast that opinion as he sees fit on a Website he established. You are perfectly free to establish your own Web site and post your own opinion (as am I). Additionally, if CRZ's ego wouldn't let any other opinion besides his exist, would he have started this board?
So CRZ is in to Pokemon. Others his age (and my age) are into Barbie dolls, Transformers, and other items originally pitched to a younger crowd - it's quite fashionable these days.
So he's involved in a long-distance romance - like thousands upon thousands of others around the world. What's the big deal?
"Fuck the Kings, fuck everything you stand for, and FUCK YOU." I can't think of a classier way to wrap up your diatribe.
Kidbrooklyn, you lost loved ones in the WTC attack. My condolences. But don't expect everyone to feel the same way about it - I don't even believe that everyone who lived through that day and/or lost a loved one in the WTC attack feels the same way that you do.

I'm going twenty-four hours a day...I can't seem to stop - "Turn Up The Radio", Autograph
I work right in the downtown area. I used to commute in and out of the city everyday through the WTC and the World Financial Center. I tasted the smoke, felt the dust and suffered loss too. The desk next to mine at work is still empty and that empty desk could have been mine if it hadn't been my partner's turn to go to the client meeting neither of us wanted to attend. I am reminded everyday and everynight of the tragedy of 9/11 when I take the ferry across the river back to Hoboken. I have only been up to the site once and was repulsed by the number of gawkers and yes, opportunists who crammed the streets surrounding the site.
I'm glad that CRZ dismissed the suggestion to come down to the site and pray. If you want to say a prayer, say it to whichever God you choose and say it at home or at your local house of worship. Let those who lost their lives maintain their eternal respect and dignity by not turning Ground Zero into a spectacle.
and that is my opinion - right or wrong.

I think CRZ's response of "Totally Gay" was probably a little callous. Perhaps a response of "No thanks, I don't believe I will" would have been better.
That being said, who are we to questions his beliefs. If he wants to go there and pray, for whatever, reason, fine. If not, fine.
I have not been down there to see things, but I sit now and think to myself would I go and look/say a prayer, whatever?? I am not sure the answer to that. I feel bad for all those who lost someone, but do not need to go there and pray to feel that way.
If you feel like saying a prayer, you don't say it for someone else. If someone else wants to say a prayer for those lost in the tragedy, say it yourself, as dunkndollaz says, at home.
---------- Whatcha Gonna Do??? ---------- "Thank you - thank you, ladies and gentlemen, for your irrelevant opinion..." ---------- And the real wonder of the world is that we don't jump too ---------- So there's no simple explanation for anything important any of us do and yea the human tragedy consists in the necessity of living with the consequences under pressure, under pressure. ----------
That sounds exactly how I'd want a non-casino centric Vegas trip to be, though I can skip the wedding since I've already gotten that covered. Penn is my #1 favorite famous person.
