I still remember when Kilborn was on SportsCenter, doing UWGB/Kentucky highlights in 1995. Everybody called Jeff Nordgaard, our big man in the middle, "Norgy." Kilby made it "Nordy." Weird...but the "More Nordy...Jumanji!" call of a big dunk by our boy was priceless. (Side note: UWGB lost to UK that day, but Rick Pitino said if he had a whole team of Nordgaards, they'd be unstoppable. He later cited UWGB as UK's toughest regular-season opponent that year, due to Dick Bennett's stifling defense and slow-tempo offense. Enjoy it, WA State.)
Back on topic...I never saw the Owen Hart joke, but every comedian says something offensive now and then. I won't hold that against him too much.
I can describe Craigger's Late Late Show in one word: swank. It always gave off an old-school Vegas cool vibe...like you'd expect Frank, Dean or Sammy to saunter out at any moment.
This thread is the first I'd heard about this...dammit. I'm gonna miss Kilborn.
