She picks what goes on the channel for the whole day. I hope this becomes a regular feature on MTV2, where an artist picks what to play for the whole day. Maybe Courtney will pick that one song by the Distillers, since the lead singer sounds just like her on that song. "Oh would you stop being all stealthy and just get in the truck"- Tom Servo

Probably so she can promote her new movie that comes out this weekend. They don`t mention her in the commercials, just Kevin Bacon & Charlize Theron, even though she`s a main character apparently. ICQ: # 6 Posted on 19.9.02 1839.56 I don't remember the title, but it stars Bacon and Love as kidnappers who abduct Charlize Theron's daughter--only Theron fights back. (searches) Ahh, here we go. "Trapped". Today's Out-Of-Context Quote, Courtesy of Fuzzy Logic: "I want to have JR's lovechild."

I just saw an ad for it that doesn't involve Courney Love at all, but I checked it out, and yes she is Kevin Bacon's accomplice in the movie. Ugh. -Jag /edit I was beaten by a mere 14 seconds! Good point. I'm not Courtney Love hater or anything, but they could've found someone a little more current for that than her. Is this the first time they've had some take over MTV2 all day? Take a picture, write it down.
tomvejada Andouille Since: 2.1.02 Since last post: 5378 days Last activity: 5378 days # 13 Posted on 22.9.02 0720.56 Among some of the cool videos they played were some video that had Winona Ryder lipsnyching and Dirk Diggler's friend from Boogie Nights playing the drums, Pavement's "Cut Your Hair, and one of the coolest videos ever, "Crush on Eyeliner" from REM. I didn't see that one in years, and that was always one of my favorites. "I just got pinned by a friggin twelve-year-old." Kurt Angle

tomvejada Andouille Since: 2.1.02 Since last post: 5378 days Last activity: 5378 days # 15 Posted on 22.9.02 1922.10 They didn't play that many videos the last few hours, the most notable videos were Husker Du, The Smithereens, and the Mooney Suzuki. Overall, they should do this with different artists, at least once a month. "I just got pinned by a friggin twelve-year-old." Kurt Angle

And uhm, I also saw her boobies about 3 times. Wiener of the Day - 9/9/02

I stuck a couple of tapes in and let 'em fly. That was a cool idea to have someone take over the channel for a day. I had that fantasy many moons ago of being able to take over MTV for 24 hrs and show some good stuff. A full hour of 'Mats and solo stuff. A full hour of Matthew Sweet. They'd never let me do it again. drew2 - Giddyup!!

You betcha they do!!! It's in hour long blocks usually: The 60's Generation Rock Fest - 70's & 80's metalish stuff Pop Show - 80's pop (Michael Jackson, Prince, etc.) All-Star Jams - Mostly 60's and 70's and mostly live type stuff We Are the 80's - Just what it says, except it usually shows those videos that MTV showed when it first came on (of course, growing up in the sticks I didn't have MTV so I'm guessing here). Some weird, cool & forgotten shit is usually shown here. Too cool If you have satellite or digital cable, check it out. drew2 - Giddyup!!
