It's been a few weeks since I sat down and watched any lucha libre, but I caught all 6 hours on Galavision this weekend. Each of the shows contained something that disturbed me more than anything Vince McMahon or Vince Russo could even imagine. I have a couple of questions about those things I figure someone here could answer.

#1: Did I see a guy wearing (a much smaller version of) the Giant Gonzales suit, sans fur? I don't care who he is or what he's done, I'd just like to have the suit confirmed. Because if my mind conjured that up on it's own, I'm going to kill myself.

#2: There was a 2 on 2 tag match on Sunday which featured 2 Mexican wrestlers version 2 Japanese wrestlers? Who were the Japanese wrestlers? In particular, who was the guy in pigtails? I have an overwhelming urge to hunt him down and kick his ass or die trying.

Pointless questions, granted, but that's why I'm posting them here. :)

1) That sound like Gronda in AAA. Unless he was blue.

2) Nosawa is/was the guy wiht the pigtails. Masada is his partner there, and they usually associate with a third Japanesse wrestler, Takemura.

While Takemura's an actual NJPW wrestler, under contract and supposed to go back whenever they think he's ready and have something for him (think the OVW/WWE relationship), Masada and Nosawa are Japanesse indy guys who work a little bit everywhere.

Quick heads up: the Saturday show is a repeat of the previous week's Sunday show, so you probably shouldn't go out of your way to watch it again unless you really dug those matches.

I'll be damned... and Nosawa is the second tier champion in my EWR4 fed. I brought him in as a cheap replacement when TAKA got injured. Guess it's time to have the rest of his stable (Raven, Malice, Daphney & Victoria) beat him down and kill him for me!

And no, I don't think it was Gronda. He's the guy who wears the devil like mask, isn't he? I tend to pick up the names after seeing the same guy 3 or 4 times, but this guy I'd never seen before. He wasn't especially muscular at all, just had that stupid looking suit on.

I caught the final hour and half or so of action. Was it only the AAA shows on or was the CMLL show on earlier? I got to catch the Mr. Aguila (Essa Rios) match. That's pretty funny how he comes out to the DX theme. Also his partners Dandy and Pirata Morgan came out to "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and Darth Vader's march theme respectively. I noticed the use of current songs as well in some promos. The one I recall at the moment was "My Own Summer" by the Deftones. That was pretty interesting.

I tuned in during the match with those two cross-dressing guys. At first I actually thought they were girls. Anyone aware of who they were? Rico could learn a thing or two from them.

Gronda is the devil-like chap with the painted on muscles. The closest I can think to a AAA guy with a furless Gonzalez-esque bodysuit is Mamba. Just wait to you see Alebrije & Cujie.

For the cross-dressers, that's Los Exoticos. Pimpinela Escarlata was probably one of them, he's been around for a while. One of the others is May Flowers, but I'm drawing a blank as to the identify of the third part of the trio.

Their gimmick is a shoot, BTW.

I caught a bit of it as well and considering my complete ignorance of spanish, I enjoyed it. Did you catch the "greatest moves" (I assume) montoge? Damn, those Luchadores can do some stuff. I miss Nitro just for that. ReyRey ain't enough. I want El Dandy and LaParka!

I read this was happening, and I'm a little saddened that TNA wouldn't/didn't/couldn't use this guy more. To quote the bard, he has a lean and hungry look.
