Without openening up each and every attachment and saving them all individually, is there any way to either drag and drop, copy and paste, etc? I have absolutely no experience with Hotmail. Any suggestions?

This won't do you any good for this time, but for future reference, have your wife copy all of the files she wants to send into a 'compressed folder', change the extension to something harmless like .tmp (because some email providers block attachments with extensions like .zip or .exe) and send THAT file as an attachment. When your sister gets it, she saves the attachment and renames it with the original extension and then she's done.
