|  #1 Posted on 8.12.05 0000.21 | Instant Rating: 6.80 | Anyone here know of any program(s) which fit the bill? I've scoured for a bit and found some, but whenever the converting is done it simply doesn't playback on my comp with any sound. Tried three different programs, no success.
Of course, my comp also won't play back ordinary music CD's with any sound. Go figure.
On the plus side, after giving up years ago to find one, I tried to find it again and I did; a *.s3m to *.mp3 converter!! AND IT WORKS!!~!

|  #3 Posted on 8.12.05 0813.26 | Instant Rating: 5.46 | I'm really lazy. I play 'em in Winamp with the output re-directed through the freeware Lame mp3 encoder. I also use Audacity (freeware) if I want to do some editing, but it requires Lame, too.

| #5 Posted on 8.12.05 1600.04 | Instant Rating: 6.80 | Well it's official; my computer blows chunks. I downloaded the GoldWave thingy (which is an AWESOME program, thanks for mentioning it Tribal Prophet....you have now received a nine).
I play back wma files and I can see that there is sound coming form the file, but not through my speakers. Ditto for the converted mp3 file. Which leads me to believe that my AMD 500 computer (with it's onboard sound card) is a piece of junk.
