Gah. For a little more than the price of Madden I can have NBA, NHL, and NFL 2k5. If they thought dropping their price to a ridiculous low level would get people buying their games that normally wouldn't (even though I prefer Sega's games to EA's usually)...well...it worked.
For the skeptical people in the peanut gallery: Visual Concepts has not confirmed it as true yet, but it's obvious that it's only a matter of time. An official announcement will likely follow in the coming days.
That's a great deal. I can't say that I've played a lot of console hockey in the last few years, but I may pick this up. I thought that 2k2 was a great game on the Dreamcast - and this has to be better than that.
Willful ignorance of science is not commendable. Refusing to learn the difference between a credible source and a shill is criminally stupid.
While the last (and only) Sega-published hockey game I played was NHL 2K3, I found the goaltending a bit TOO proficient. I played against an equally-skilled friend, and won 3-2 in single OT, but a mediocre goaltender like Johan Hedberg had no business stopping 74 out of 76 shots.
Although, EA switching over to let Blackbox develop NHL 2004 was a bad decision. Even though I loved Hitz 20-03 (also made by Blackbox), they turned NHL 2004 into something frustrating and a bit less fun. Passes got intercepted almost every time, and hitting became nearly impossible to do reliably.
So, if Sega and their developer du jour can get their act together for ESPN NHL 2K5, I may finally be able to play console hockey again. I'm already sold on ESPN NFL :)
Well, if they think by lowering their prices they're gonna get me to switch from EA... well... yeah, you got me.
Actually, I'll probably go with Sega for my football needs, and EA for my basketball needs. Aw, heck, I'll just have to see what the different features are, first.

What country are these from? They obviously aren't the American versions, because I had all of these and they looked nothing like them. Popeye was a Parker Bros. game and Donkey Kong was a Coleco game.
