I liked the "Before They Were Superstars" piece on Shawn Michaels. They didn't show the Barber Shop though. Still it was pretty good. Who was the guy Shawn was talking about that partied with him in his first day at the WWE?
I also liked the piece on Tazz. It's good to see that he improved from his first day as announcer.
Next week, "Before They Were Superstars" Brock Lesnar.
The Shawn Micheals piece was O.K. But I am tired of Shawn always saying how there was a misunderstanding and it wasn't his fault. Nothing is ever Micheal's fault. He should just be a man and admit he was stoned and he just fucked up. But nothing is ever his fault it's always taken out of context. He is what 37 and still acting like a 10 year old. The Austalian part was O.K. are Nidia and Noble together in real life? They kind of looked like it. I think when Angle said he has never seen a giraffe he meant up close or at least I hope so. The Rock has a pretty good workout but that's no suprise. There was the usual hyperbole about how the Rock has the toughest workout. I guess Hardcore, Benoit, and Angle don't count. But I wonder if that was his real workout it looked too footbally to me.
(edited by Dahak on 18.8.02 1048) I just have 13 words for you. How much wood would a woodchuch chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
The Rock impressed me with the workout clips. I'd have to say he's actually one heck of an athlete. Now if only he could wrestle. BTW, I'd like to see Bradshaw try and run those stairs.
Did Shawn say he got a 750 TOTAL on his SATs? Yow! And I like how the only picture they could find of Shawn at college was him standing outside holding a huge beer. I would also like to make fun of the CG guy for labelling Colonel Hickenbottom as "Shawn's Mom".
Personally I'd like to see Bradshaw run down those steps so I could stick my leg out and trip the bastard.
Rock might not be the best wrestler but that guy is one of the best damn athletes I've seen. He can go.
I think Shawn pic with the beer was funny especially when he was saying that he called his dad and said he's just wasting his money putting him in college. I guess it's done well, I've noticed my enjoying level of this type of segment usually goes hand in hand on how much I like the person they are profiling... And unfortunately I can't look at a picture of Marty Jannety without thinking of that sad post about Marty's plane adventures.
The Australia trip clips were cool. Like seeing Angle/ Storm/ Christian. And Storm & Christian babying the animals and Angle looks at the camera and says "Canadians" and rolls his eyes. Seeing them filming on the plane the only thought that crossed my mind was "Oh why not show the trip back form the UK" now that's footage... I still find it surreal seeing Mean Gene doing BI- lingual jokes on Rico (lol)
The TAzz thing was interesting. One thing stuck with me. It was when Heyman found out that Tazz is the new colour guy on SD. Heyman said he looked at his ECW announce crew and said your not the best in the business anymore.. Humm saying that I wonder what's his opinion on Lawler (lol) He pretty much said Lawler is behind Tazz and Cyrus. Which is as true and true can be. But it's nice hearing it on WWE TV
I don't get it, everyone loves rats, but they don't want to drink the rats milk?
I'm still wondering how Vince was able to pull off showing tape of the Midnight Rockers vs Somers and Rose. I thought Verne had all his tapes safely guarded after lying about their worth in bankruptcy court. But, if Vince used the footage without the expressed written consent of Verne Gagne, maybe Verne can sue and the AWA can take over the WWE. Otto Wanz vs. Greg Gagne for the undisputed title, smell the buyrate.
Thank you Mr. Wanz for the check, now you get an AWA World Title Reign. But be careful, my boy Greg is a heat machine.

Doesn't Vince own everything wrestling related now? (LOL)
If anything, the tape was probably part of Shawn's personal collection...
EDIT: wrong wording...

According to pwtorch.com, Flair tried to bury the hatchet, but Foley wouldn't accept a handshake. He did ask Flair to sign a copy of his book for charity, which angered Flair (in his crazy-old-man way, I imagine), and he took a swing at Foley. http:
