I liked last week's premiere for the musical number dream sequence open and everyone's reaction shots to everything, but I thought the season 2 premiere with Betty White was a notch above the intro of Omar from The Wire and John Goodman. Jeff's inability to tell one black guy from another aside.
But my God! My God! This week was the Community I know and love. Martin Starr! Martin Fucking Starr!
Model UN was incredible. CRISIS ALERT! Troy's Georgia accent. Pierce's making Somalia sound like a vacation paradise. "Switzerland is very concerned about Earth-2." "Uruguay kindly requests that Somalia stop pronouncing it 'Uru-gay'."
But even moreso - Gillian Jacobs! Last season, it became clear to me Gillian Jacobs is the sleeper breakout star of this show. Britta sneakily became my favorite character last season. Gillian Jacobs was incredible in this episode - when the YouTube or Hulu clip is available, someone post her meltdown in the study group and eating Chang's warning, my N-Words! (I've... gone too far...)
The return of season one Britta and her conflict with Chang was the best repetitive use of Lionel Richie in the history of television.

So I didn't know if I could buy into Walt Cummings as a sympathetic character at first, but Vanished has been pretty entertaining. My interest in the show was primarily due to the incredible collection 1990's era actresses that they're featuring:
