Starting out on a downer, IRON MAN has a director, Nick Cassavetes. This can be good, but he fucking wants Justin Timberlake to star in it... let me type thay again.. JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE... as Tony Stark. Fuck the world, I want off it. Pray this falls through.
Some pretty good news coming out of Marvel is that J Michael Straczynski will be taking over FANTASTIC FOUR after Mark Waid leaves the title. Well, it COULD be worse.
Mark Millar wants Rob Liefeld to draw THOR... I'm not a religous person, but god help me I'd never buy another Thor book again.
Adam Hughes is the new cover artist for Catwoman, so expect her breasts to gain two cup sizes!
Roger Stern is going to be writing Superman again, but not a superman title. He's got a four to six issue story arc coming up next year in JLA CLASSIFIED.
Hoping to save it from cancellation, DC's hired ChrisCross to draw THE OUTSIDERS with Tom Raney leaving the book.
WEAPON X is coming back as a series of mini-series next year.

Yikes! I was thinking Stark should be a little older. For some reason, I can't get Gary Sinise out of my head. I can see him with a moustache. But he already did the wheelchair thing in Gump.
Who will be the villian? Any chance for a role for Grispin Glover?

Any word on whether his wife will be co-writing this with him or not? I was never a big fan of his or her work over on LEGIONNAIRES.

JMS on FF sounds awesome, he knows how to write a good sci-fi. I guess that means is Amazing Spiderman days are done, its a shame, because I think the fans overreacted on Gwen's kids since it does make sense if you go back in the continuity.
Rock is the perfcet person to play Tony Star. Justin Timberlake, man, I thought the casting on Catwoman was bad.

JMS writes Amazing Spider-Man, Supreme Power, Rising Stars and consults on Strange Amazing Fantasy & Doctor Spectrum. With Rising Stars ending and Strange & Doctor Spectrum being miniseries, who's to say he couldn't write another ongoing?

You could just wait until Liefeld quits or gets kicked off.
Seriously, when was the last time he stayed on a Marvel project for more than six issues? 1992?
Actually, I was thinking that Rob would be perfect for THOR and I wouldn't want to see anyone else drawing it. As crazy as it sounds, I think epic, mythology type storys are what Liefeld's art needs. I guess I should have been more clear on that one...
Other good news recently...
Orson Scott Card will be writing an ULTIMATE IRON MAN series next year... interesting choice.
David Goyer, hot (...or not, I guess?) off BLADE: TRINITY is set to write and direct a FLASH film. Sadly, this will squash that THOR movie he was gonna write... depending on how you look at it, I guess.
FIRESTORM is cancelled with issue #13.
Chuck Austin is dead... long live Chuck Austin! He's been fired from ACTION COMICS now, making way for Gail Simone and John Byrne to take over the title... which may indeed rule the fucking world!
With Roger Stern, John Byrne, and Dan Jurgens all working on Superman again, in one form or another, I can honestly die a happy guy, cause for me atleast, these guys are the ones who gave me my love for the big guy.
Lastly, and this one is pretty cool as well, Keith Giffen will be writing THE DEFENDERS next year and give it a slant towards his JUSTICE LEAGUE work. That could be pretty damn cool.

DC: -DC launches All-Star Batman & Robin from Jim Lee & a mystery writer in June, then All-Star Superman from Grant Morrison & Frank Quitely later in 2005. All-Star is DC's answer to Ultimate Marvel. DC's not calling it "out of continuity", but rather "iconic". -May sees the relaunch of Green Lantern from Geoff Johns & Carlos Pacheco, with Hal Jordan wearing the ring.
MARVEL: -Ultimate Captain Britain, Captain Italy & Captain Spain debut in March's Ultimates 2 #4. -May sees the return of Thor from Mark Millar & Greg Land, working off ideas from Neil Gaiman & J. Michael Straczynski. Speaking of JMS, he has 3 new projects coming up at Marvel: a huge secret miniseries later next year, a run on Fantastic Four, and a Silver Surfer mini. -With Spider-Man joining the Avengers, he (and MJ & Aunt May) will move into the Avengers' new pad, Avengers Tower. And that move WILL directly affect the other Spider-Man comics. Speaking of that, Summer's House Of M Astonishing X-Men/Avengers/Excalibur crossover miniseries will have a direct spillover into the Spider-Man titles, as well as see a miniseries from Mark Waid & Salvador Larroca exploring the effects on Spidey...and then that will be followed up by a Spider-Man ongoing by Mark Waid & former Fantastic Four & Sensational Spider-Man penciller Mike Wieringo. Marvel Knights Spider-Man will be taken over by new Black Panther writer Reggie Hudlin following Mark Millar's final issue (#12). -The really long (and good) Daredevil run by Brian Michael Bendis & Alex Maleev will end in December 2005 with the conclusion of the Murdock Papers, as Matt Murdock finally deals with the legal ramifications of his not-so-secret ID. -Speaking of Bendis, upcoming in Ultimate Spider-Man: Ultimate Hobgoblin, which Marvel says will knock the UU on its ass. Then we get Iron Fist, Shang-Chi (the Master of Kung Fu), Moon Knight, Blade and Morbius. And more! Oh, and Ultimate Spider-Man (and the Ultimate Universe) turn 5. Also, Warren Ellis leaves Ultimate Fantastic Four as of #18 (in April), and odds are they have a replacement but aren't announcing it just yet. Ellis will continue his work on the Ultimate Trilogy, which he says will tie the universe together. And Ultimate X-Men scribe Brian K. Vaughan will continue on the series for a while yet, as he has at least 10 more issues slated, then he will co-write the Bryan Singer run.

If you look at the art of the recent re-launch of Iron Man... it would appear the artist believes Johnny Depp would be a better idea.
There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened. - The Restaurant at the End of the Universe
Newsarama has announced that Marvel's found a new creative team for Ultimate Fantastic Four. The proposed Thor relaunch has been scrapped for now and Mark Millar & Greg Land will come aboard UFF with #19.

http://www.g4tv.com/mediaplayer/index.aspx?video_key=9404 It's about 30 seconds in, but the wait is well worth it ... Don't believe me? Ask Koiby's wife. Hilarious. Nuff said.
