Here's some news to come out of the first half of the convention...

Jeph Loeb is doing a one shot BATMAN/THE SPIRIT book, introducing Will Eisners character into the DC Universe, after this, Darwin Cooke will be writing an ongoing THE SPIRIT series. It'll be interesting to see how these two work together. I think this might be the most interesting announcement so far from DC.

'MOST' titles will NOT be rebooted to #1's after the whole 'one year later' deal starting after Infinite Crisis.

One BATMAN title and one SUPERMAN title will end and be replaced with new ones after 'Infinite Crisis'. DC's not saying which ones though, for now.

SEVEN SOLDIERS does fit into Infinite Crisis... some how.

Batman pops up in GREEN LANTERN #10... let's hope Hal punks him out again.

Using Detective Chimp in DAY OF VENGENCE was Dan Didio's idea, so you can blame him OR thank him, if you ever get to meet him.

Eddie Campbell and Bart Sears are doing an issue of LEGENDS OF THE DARK KNIGHT.

Paul Pope will be doing a Batman mini series next year.

The upcoming 'WAR CRIMES' series in BATMAN will 'change Batman for the better' getting him away from the 'paranoid Batman' we've been seeing lately.

A new CHECKMATE series is coming next year.

Bill Willingham has an idea for a FABLES/BATMAN crossover or mini/one shot featuring a team up of Batman and Bigbie Wolf

A FABLES spin-off is in the works, called JACK OF FABLES; it seems to be an ongoing and not a mini-series.

Mike Carey is leaving HELLBLAZER and a new writer, Denise Mina takes it over early next year... hmm, a FEMALE writing for Constantine. There goes him being rude with prostitutes every few issues.

"The red states have risen up and started a war internally and pushed it to the Hudson River." This is the plot to DMZ, a new series from Brian Wood. I'm guessing he's a Democrat.

DEADMAN is moving over to the Vertigo line for a new series written by Bruce Jones.

Jim Lee wants to draw LEGION OF SUPER HEROES.

Alan Davis and Stan Lee ar doing a little series called FANTASTIC FOUR: THE END! That's gonna be a keeper.

Silver Sable and the Wild Pack show up in ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #86... COOLNESS! I LOVE me some Silver Sable!

Ultimate Galactus WILL NOT be 'a giant guy in a purple suit.' which is just WRONG.

Joe Quesada NOW SAYS that the Ultimate Universe and the 616 Universe will NOT be meeting each other and that it's 'stupid' for them to do so in the first place.

The idea for now is that Ultimate Spider-Man won't age. they'll keep him a teenager.

There's an X-MEN/Power Pack mini-series coming next year!

The new X-FACTOR series has Jamie Maddrox winning $1Million on a game show and expanding his detective business. The series will be kinda like X-FILES... interesting.

Peter David is leaving HULK after House Of M. He'll be writing the new FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN series instead! EXCELLENT! Peter David writing Peter Parker.

The stunned look on each audience member's face is because they're watching a quartet of sexagenarians in skimpy outfits and full-face makeup, right? Certainly KISS can no longer be considered that "shocking" anywhere.
