Hey, what's up.

It's not quite the NY vacation I was planning, but I'm gonna be in Columbus Jan 16th to the 18th. Any of you live there and know any cheap hotels to stay at downtown.

I'm going to some nightclub to pick up a whole bunch of music videos for a friend and I'll probably be looking for somewhere cool to go to while there as well, any suggestions are greatly appreciated and welcomed.

Thanks!

Do you have to stay downtown??

First time I trekked up there for Mid-Ohio-Con, I stayed at a Red Roof Inn in Grove City, which is only about a 10-15 min drive from Downtown Columbus (depending on the time of day I'm sure).

They have a Gordon Biersch there which I highly recommend http://www.gordonbiersch.com

Happy travels!

They have Jerry Rice starting at WR, wearing Steve Largent's number and running fly patterns with a pitchfork sticking out his back. They are being routinely outscored on Sundays by Rashard Lewis, Ray Allen and even Vlad Radmanovic. On the bright side, it's only Year 6 of Mike Holmgren's five-year plan." - The "Sports Guy" Bill Simmons hits the nail on the freaking head

Well, I don't HAVE to be downtown, but since I don't drive, I figured it'd be cheaper for me with the taxi fares or what not.

Yeah, I don't drive... don't ask.

That does change things a bit. You should still be able to hit Gordon Biersch, but I'm not sure of a reasonably priced hotel option downtown. The only hotel I've been to was the Adam's Mark the two years Mid-Ohio-Con was there, and I think they're a little pricey.

Good luck and have a great trip!!

If you are able to get out and about, you'll probably also want to hit The Laughing Ogre Comic Shop. I'm pretty sure they have a great appeciation of Mr. Sim there.
