As a Giants fan, all I can say is... WHAT TOOK SO DAMN LONG?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?! After looking like a complete scrub in the super bowl, and allowing TRENT F'N DILFER to win a title, Sehorn should have been sent packing THAT february.
Well - the leading rumor is that Sehorn will go to the Falcons as Dan Reeves was the person who drafted Sehorn and Reeves is in love with him.
Dean is fearful that Parcells will get confused, think it's Everson Walls, and sign him.
And pieman - look at it this way. He had three years left on his contract. So that would have been three more torturous years at what would have ended up being more money (especially if you factor in the $1 million bonus he was due).
Plus after his little manifesto over the weekend, I think a billion dollar cap hit would have been worth it to get rid of him.
On another side note - it seems that the Giants were only really interviewing Douglas to mess with the Eagles as they pretty much knew they couldn't afford him. Roosevelt Colvin though.....

Oh, don't get me wrong, Phil. I wanted Sehorn gone as much as the next Giants fan. I was just pointing out the dollar hit the club is taking. I concur that it would be worse to spend the millions AND have him acutally playing as well.
He's Rolie Polie Olie - and in his world of curves and curls, he's the swellest kid around.
First off, let me just say the Bears letting Colvin go is obnoxious and causes me to want to stab Jerry Angelo in the head with a homemade shank made from 1985 Bears McDonalds collector cards of Otis Wilson and Wilbur Marshall.
That said, for Dean's benefit and assuage his fears:
How could he mix them up...they wear totally different numbers ;)
As a Bear fan I really wish we could have made this trade by giving up an RB and any other WR (Thomas and Terrell perhaps) as Grossman is still essentially a rookie at QB, and we just got rid of the only dependable wideout on this team.
