Thanks for joining us on the outside shot at the BCS title race Miami. Has anyone ever seen a top 10 team play before so many people dressed as empty seats? As putrid a job of clock management as I've seen in a long time for Lane Kiffen. He should be forced to watch Al Davis press conferences as punishment. Why you play for a 44 yard field goal with a kicker who sucked is inexcusable. Besides running the ball instead of spiking it, why let the clock run all the way down? Can't beat a superior team on the road with a poor kicking game. Does ABC/ESPN get some sort of sick thrill by making the people of Michigan listen to Matt Millen? Notre Dame. Close game. Water. Wet. Now, onto the board's favorite team, South Florida. If they really want to be regarded as an upper echelon school, they have to be able to take a punch. Now, they are developing a reputation of once they lose, they go bad. This is how you start getting compared to Michigan State, except State actually had a tradition before they became choking dogs. Is Nebraska still back?

South Florida. Abandon Ship.
I'm really, really, REALLY unhappy about my Yellow Jackets losing to Miami in such miserable fashion earlier this year. I still think it's hogwash that one single loss to ANOTHER RANKED TEAM completely drops us out of the rankings from such a high spot (13th/14th, I believe). Because of that we basically had to start all over with our climb to the top of the rankings. Next week we'll be in the Top 10, but had we not lost that game (or if we had dropped to something reasonable like #20) we would be looking at a spot in the top 5 perhaps.
Now I have to spend the rest of the season rooting against Florida, Alabama, Texas, Boise State, Cincinnati, LSU, TCU, Iowa, USC, and Oregon. Rats. At least Clemson helped our chances at reaching the ACC title game.

I do appreciate your enthusiasm here, and it's nice to see ACC fans actually believing in their teams again, but come on now. I am pulling for GT and VT to win out.
USF got crushed but at least it was to a ranked team this time.
Michigan State has no one to blame, but themselves for that loss. Another bloody BSC week avoided which brings up the question what happens to Boise St, TCU, Iowa, Texas and the SEC winner are all undefeated? The SEC refereeing once again favors a Florida score, I am shocked. Regardless, Miss St. had moments of brilliance and stupidity in that game. Notre Dame finally breaks one of the losing curses and hopefully will be able to finish strong, but that Pitt game looks less then fun. I do think the closer we get to the Heisman chase, the more we will see Colt then Teabow since he just threw another INT. Seriously, is this guy even going to come close to the numbers Colt, Jimmy and others will have by the time we to the end of the season? PSU ended the Michigan away curse. It looks like we may have a classic PSU, Miami and ND combo for a bowl game.

Of course not. But that's not really a fair argument considering 1. Florida is a running team. 2. Florida plays better defenses. 3. Tebow doesn't have Shipley or Tate. Of course Clausen and McCoy are going to have better numbers but Clausen loses every important game and today was the first time McCoy played great from the beginning of the game. As for Tebow's interceptions, 4 INTs in 132 attempts. McCoy has 8 INTs in 254 attempts. Even with 2 INTs today Tebow is still throwing interceptions at a lower rate than McCoy.
Really, none of them should win the Heisman and people need to start coming up with new contenders.
An almost awesome day, so many close games. Thought Michigan State had that game. Miami loses cause Jacory makes retarded decisions when pressured. Oregon State sure knows how to give USC fits.
Duke over Maryland? Guess I can give up that dream of Maryland upsetting BC. Texas finally wins big, but they always whip Missouri, so it doesn't mean much. Nebraska...that was ugly. K-State...is he really turning this around again? Damn he's a good coach.
As for Tebow, even Ponder's having a better year than him(well, other than overall record). Lots of Gator fans starting to say that Tebow is "holding the offense back". Not sure why he's in the Heisman race at this point.
I actually like Brent, but what was he babbling about that Texas needed to win for style points so they can jump one of the SEC teams? If Texas wins out, they are in. The only question then is are they 1 or 2, and your better off being number 2 because you can call the coin toss. Iowa is either a team of destiny or they are going to get slaughtered by Ohio State. Always nice of Michigan State to remember who they are though.

1) Maryland plays better at home and the ACC is the ACC. I'd not give up the dream just yet. I do pick BC to win the division because they always seem to, but Maryland can beat BC.
2) It does mean much because they're still undefeated and as long as they keep winning..
3) They lost to Louisana Lafayette earlier in the year so who knows. The Big 12 is the new ACC.

Just for this week. Some people don't realize the top 3 doesn't matter at all right now, but it makes good TV discussion I guess.
