The ACC now is completely dead in the national title race with Va. Tech losing by 11 to Georgia Tech in a game that wasn't that close. Maybe Georgia Tech should play all their games on the road. And, does this mean that Georgia Tech now qualifies as a quality win for Notre Dame?
Think John L. Smith regrets quitting Louisville right now? Michigan State has mastered the art of throwing in the towel on a season under Smith though.
Ohio State should be in the clear now until the Michigan game. I really thought Iowa would have given them a tough game.
USC is going to get picked off at least once. This offense is a shell of its former self. Not going for 2 up 12 in the 4th almost came back to haunt them.
Much like missed extra points, are there more pick 6's this year?
When Georgia falls, they are going to fall in a rout.
My annual pet peeve occurred in the Houston/Miami game. Down 1 with under 1:30 left and no timeouts, Houston should have let Miami just walk into the end zone. Have the defense take a dive. Perhaps losing by 8 wouldn't look as impressive as losing by 1, but at least at 8 you would get the ball with over a minute to go with at least the chance to tie, rather than down 1 with no chance. And, who gets fired first: Coker or John L. Smith?
The 2 quarterback system is going to backfire on Florida at some point. LSU this coming week might be that point.

John L Smith is a piece of garbage.

Nice to see Illinois play like a team. Maybe 5 wins isn;t out of the picture.

Have you been watching the Florida games? This isn't a "who is the starting QB" rotating system. It's actually a well thought out plan, it's more like having an Antwan Randle El come in for trick plays than a rotating QB situation. It gives the defense two completely different looks and so far has confused them It's actually the REASON Florida is winning, not the reason they are going to lose. Florida doesn't beat Tennessee without Tebow running the ball and Florida doesn't beat Alabama without the pass by Tebow and run by Leak. Maybe they won't fool LSU's defense and maybe Tebow won't get it done running the ball but then they just let Chris Leak do his thing. He did it AT Tennessee, I don't see why he can't do it at home against LSU. IF LSU does win it's not because of the QBs it's because of the offensive line or running game.

What the heck was up with that whole "flag planting" thing? Seemed kinda classless to me, ala Owens and the Dallas star.

While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.

Yeah, this has gotten a little out of control. MSU did it to ND last year, mainly because ND failed to bring out the stupid Megaphone Trophy that they play for (no excuse). Then Minnesota tried to do it when they beat U-M last year. Then MSU players guard their 50-yard line after choking ot ND last week - thankfully, ND didn't take the bait. And finally, the Illini do it to MSU this week.

Jim Delaney was supposed to look into this last year when it happened but no real measures were taken. I bet you see some harsher penalties threatened for the next team that tries to do it.

I'm a Georgia Tech alum and homer, but my fellow alums and I knew GT was good this year. We were all extremely disappointed to not beat ND, and there was no solace to be taken in that game whatsoever. I'm not even slightly surprised that we housed Virginia Tech, especially with them missing two defensive starters.

GT v. Clemson in the title game.

Now THAT is a rotating QB problem and Georgia is the team that is going to lose this week because of their QB situation.

Honestly I don't see how that can happen. They play each other during the season and if Georgia Tech wins(I would expect them to), then FSU will be in line to take their division since Clemson lost to BC already. Take a look at this schedule for FSU:

at NC State
at Duke
Boston College
at Maryland
Virginia
Wake Forest
Western Michigan
Florida

Granted they haven't looked great, but pretty much everyone on that list is worse this year than last and I would fully expect them to roll through most of them. Maybe, maybe BC gives them a hard game. Maybe Wake. Probably not. Strange to see this team struggle on offense so much but still be looking at a two loss season(second coming to Florida) very easily heading into the title game.

In other words, go GT beat Clemson!! WHOOO! :)

I think BC will have a very good shot at beating FSU in Boston this this year. If Boston College can beat VaTech next week, than a win over FSU would really just leave Miami to close the year for them to beat in order to reach the conference title game. But those are three tough games. Anyway, my point is that FSU over BC is hardly a given.

Also, I think the Noles beat UF at Doak this year, if for no other reason than because the Gators have posted a long winning streak against their big three rivals (Tennessee, Georgia and FSU). I will say, though, that if they come out of their next three games undefeated (LSU, at Auburn and Georgia in Jacksonville), I will likely be singing a different tune.

Boston College has Va. Tech at home on Thursday night, a night where Va. Tech is usually dominant, they play AT Florida State and they play AT Miami on Thanksgiving night. Now, Miami is not good and were dominated by Houston, but, they will beat BC, especially if somehow BC is playing for a spot in a bowl higher than their annual spot in the Who Gives A Shit Bowl.

You're right about the game being at FSU, don't know why I thought otherwise ... but you seriously overestimate the other ACC teams. Boston College is good. Not very good, but good. It's the same level I'd put FSU, and Miami just sucks. Again, I don't see anyway FSU just walks over them. But VaTech is the class of that conference.

Um, VT just got waxed by Georgia Tech, so how you figure? No, in my view Clemson and GT are the tops in the conference right now. FSU and VT are right there and BC is close, but they just haven't impressed me much. Even with the win over Clemson, mostly because Clemson is such a up and down team from week to week.

Ain't it funny how we're all ignoring 5-0 Wake Forest?

I still think VaTech is better and will win the conference. We'll see how GaTech does at Clemson and against Miami.

VTech is not the class of the ACC. Right now it's too early to tell between VT, GT, Clemson, and FSU. IMO, any of those could wind up winning their division. If I had to rank the ACC teams from 1-12 (as a Maryland/ACC fan), I'd go:

Clemson
Georgia Tech
Florida State
Virginia Tech
Boston College
Miami
Wake Forest
Maryland
North Carolina State
Virginia
North Carolina
Duke

It's really the top four, then BC/Miami, Wake, the next four, then Duke from what I've seen.

This sounds like Matt Leinart's "I still think we're the better team" logic after getting schooled by Vince Young and the Longhorns. Sorry, all homerism aside, VT can't hold a candle to GT.

EDIT: Clemson is more or less terrified of Calvin Johnson after previous experiences. And Miami? Are you serious? Have you watched them play this year?

I am just so god damned sick of this. FSU has a team full of five star players. And yet Jeff Bowden is able to make them look like they should be playing at Duke. It's not even close to the players. Anyone paying any attention to the playcalling with a minimal knowledge of football can see he's running offense for the retarded. I'm done. After 20 years, I'm done watching this team and supporting and caring about them until Jeff Bowden is gone. I just can't stand to watch one more second of this bullshit.
