True. The John Cooper pick is way more suspect. He was 2-12-2 against Arizona and Michigan. TWO. TWELVE. TWO.**

Christ.

**Actually 3-12-2 if you count his Arizona St. victory over Michigan. I say it doesn't count.

A national title at Notre Dame plus two #2 finishes to go with winning the Orange Bowl at Arkansas with players suspended is pretty good. Now, Troy Aikman could be considered a joke: He breaks his leg at Oklahoma, and they go 11-1 three straight years (33-0 against teams not named Miami) and win a national title. If the criteria is solely on the college football field, Holloway deserves induction prior to Aikman.

I assume you are being ironic here, for very obvious reasons. Then again, if you're not being ironic then I guess those reasons aren't that obvious to you at all.

Anyone who left a college program under NCAA violations (let alone THREE!) does not deserve to be in the college football HoF.

At South Carolina:

At Minnesota:

John Cooper?!? Who lowered the standards?

If Cooper got in, I rest assured that Jim Tressel has his way paved already. I mean, wow.

So if Bobby Bowden retires this year he deserves to be kicked out of the hall of fame?

Ok then.

Has Simmons ever (ghost) written a book? I think the story of his life sounds really interesting. All-American (and now HOF) football player, (I believe) the first ever African-American professional wrestling champion, and so on.

The funny thing about no players from the 4 Championship teams going is funny since the Pro Bowl is coached (for now) by the Championship Game losing coaches. (you didn't make it to the super bowl. consolation: a week in Hawaii.)
