I wanted to post this here, but the thread was closed.

I still wanted to share this tidbit from Figure Four Weekly Newsletter & FwF & W365:

"Just when I think We’ve heard the best story ever, something tops it. The creators of the animated series Assy McGee have filed suit against WWE over the Vince McMahon’s Ass cartoon which debuted recently on

The way the story goes, Michael Cole, who runs, asked one of his staffers to come up with a creative idea that the boss would like. Apparently this guy decided to just rip off Assy McGee, which is a sitcom that airs during Adult Swim on the Cartoon Network about a police offer who is — surprise, surprise — a walking ass with a gun. Worse, a few of the storylines from Mr. McMahon’s Ass were blatantly stolen from Assy McGee. Even more humiliating for Vince is that Cartoon Network is owned by TURNER BROADCASTING, his old rival, and they can’t even really take this to court since they’ve got no defense whatsoever. Vince loved the Vince McMahon’s Ass cartoon, thinking it was the best thing in the world that there was a CARTOON about HIS ASS, and when this all came down shortly before Christmas, Vince blew a gasket. Cole, who had hired a separate flash animator to produce the cartoon full-time and was also working on t-shirts (seriously), claimed he’d never even heard of Assy McGee. This hardly flew, and it appears WWE will have to pay for the mistake in cash to Turner. Cole is said to be in serious trouble and there is a chance he’ll be fired as head of (though we’re told his Smackdown announcing gig is not in jeopardy)."

Wow, who would have thought a cartoon about a sixty-something's ass would have had so much downside?

There is now a 99% chance that this will lead to Cole being forced to join the Kiss My Ass club on an upcoming Smackdown.

I don't know what is more disquieting -- the fact that the rest of the statue is missing, or that it has four toes.

There is a 99% chance that someone who commissioned a cartoon about his bosses' ass has already joined the Kiss My Ass club behind the scenes.

Ladies and gentlemen, the following public service message is brought to you by your friends from D-Generation X, who would like to remind each and every one of you that if you're not down with that, we've got two words for you...

There is a 100% chance that we will never see a cartoon that never should have seen the light of day ever again.

While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.

I think Assy McGee is an awful cartoon (in concept and execution) (just like Squidbillies, yea I said it) imagine how bad a ripoff of it would have been.

Worse, a few of the storylines from Mr. McMahon’s Ass were blatantly stolen from Assy McGee.

I'm curious which storylines these were supposed to have been. Wikipedia says only six Assy McGee episodes have been ordered so far, and none of the plot synopses bear any resemblance to the two McMahon/Ass episodes I can find on From the looks of it, a typical Assy plot is just Assy doing police work; whereas a typical McMahon plot is about introducing an unlikeable straw man so that Vince can look like an everyman hero by giving him some ass-related comeuppance.

Also, why are the McMahon cartoons still on I assume the first thing Cartoon Network would do is issue a cease & desist order; if this went down before Christmas and WWE can't fight it, shouldn't the episodes have been yanked by now?

This is all oddly reminiscent of a Studio 60 from earlier this year. I found it a bit unbelievable that someone would be such a dumbass as to simply hand in existing work as his own; I should not have underestimated people's stupidity. B^)

I think Benoit would get a bigger pop if he put up a strong fight at WMXX but HBK snuck out a victory and then Benoit made HBK tap clean in Edmonton.
