It's a great read...he talks about his dream feud with Austin, face & heel buses, Colt Cabana & Luke Gallows leaving the company and a ton more:

Very good point. The writer made it sound like it was just him, Punk and Beth Phoenix chillin' in the Windy City.
Speaking of Punk's hometown, he's throwing out the first pitch at today's Cubs game and singing during the 7th Inning Stretch. Video *has* to surface of that. (attn: The Cubs Fan?)

It's a WGN game, so video will usually turn up on this blog Saturday, if not sooner. Very excited for the usual 6th inning radio interview, but not as much as I would be if Ron Santo was still around.

God, everything about this angle has been fantastic so far, so much so that I've been documenting quite a bit-- downloading the audio of the promos, and saving a copy of the interview, that sort of thing. This is FUN, and it'll be fun to look back on in a few years, assuming they don't just royally fuck up the endgame.
I was surprised he mentioned Benoit, I must say. I imagine the general consensus of the locker room is still "I don't know what to think."

I daresay that Austin vs. Punk (if it happened) would overshadow Cena vs. Rock at Wrestlemania, which is why it might not happen...or WWE might instead shoot for that bout at Wrestlemania 29 to mark 10 years since Austin's last match.
It cracks me up that WWE still bothers with a 'face bus' and a 'heel bus.'

Especially when you consider that Punk was supposed to face Benoit at that pay-per-view that weekend for the ECW Title. Punk went from being stoked about having a dream match with one of his wrestling heroes to hearing the tragic news.

Good point, especially considering that everyone watching that match was chanting "WE WANT BENOIT!", when it's almost certain that by that point Benoit was already dead. What a hell of a time to have to wrestle a match. What a hell of a way for John Morrison to celebrate winning his first (and only, so far) world heavyweight championship. (Not to say that's nearly as big a deal as life and death).
Anyway: If Money in the Bank really does mark the last we'll see of CM Punk for a few months, I just... can't imagine him really being off of television that long. Unless they create an incredible hook to keep the storyline buzzing. Maybe he does walk with the WWE Title. All I know is, he'd look like a damn fool if he came crawling on his hands and knees to Vince McMahon begging for his job back, or became a corporate champion, or something to that effect.
Maybe he wins against Cena, and gets himself intentionally disqualified against the (inevitable) Money in the Bank cash-in attempt? Man, there are so many things they could do, and that's part of what makes this so compelling.

The Rock has been on the cover of GQ
Kevin Kelly: "Mr. Austin, would you like to comment on Wade Keller's Take that endorsing the XFL hurts your anti-authority character?"
Steve Austin: "Oh shit, he actually said that? I thought the boys in the back were ribbing me!"
Kelly: "No, he really said that. Did they tell you the part about you sitting in the stands, looking all skeptical?"

I think that must be overseas only. I'm pretty sure they all get rental cars here. I remember going to a show and passing Lex Luger and then pulling up behind The Undertaker at the toll booth.
EDIT: It must be a real disappointment to fans to see Alberto Del Rio climbing off a tour bus, after seeing him in so many fancy cars.
