I can't believe they lost ALREADY. I know it is a tradition at the school to blow it come March, but...DAMN.

On the positive side, it does make things easier on Missouri in the sweet sixteen round. Now, if Xavier or Arizona can take down the Sooners, I say the Tigers march into the Final Four.

I know what you mean, I didn't have them choking until the next round.

I can see Missouri getting to the Final Four, then they'd be up against Duke right? That's great, Duke's 2 and 4 seeds got upset and Pitt and Indiana are the weakest 3 and 5 seeds in the tournament. Then Duke plays a 12 seed in the Final Four, it's a joke that they get it so simple. I'm not a Missouri fan, but i'm cheering for them, a 12 seed in the Final Four would be great, Kent State making it would be good too.

The way missouri is playing I wouldn't be surprised to see them make it to the final 4. Last year Missouri played Duke in the second round i believe and stayed with them almost the entire game. This year's Duke team is not as good as last years ( i believe ) and this year's Missouri team is better than last year. So i am thinking that Duke vs Missouri would be a great game.

Cincinnati losing busted my West bracket. I was actually hoping against hope they would make it to the final 4 instead of choking. Oh well things happen i guess.

I'll sacrifice a couple wrong picks to see the Tigers got to Atlanta.

TheBucsFan - I take it your a pretty big Tigers fan? Honestly if they could go to atlanta i would sacrifice my bracket. LoL. every year i pick two brackets. One based on professional opinions and one based on having the Tigers go all the way. I didn't do that this year. I wish i would have now.

If Duke has to play Mizzou, would Coack K whine about having to face one of his assistants again like he did last year with Snyder/Mizzou and this year with Brey/Notre Dame? Geez, you didn't hear Tubby complain about having to face Tulsa (school where he got his first head coaching gig).

Of course, this is just my bitterness towards Duke showing ;-)

Can UCLA PLEASE hire a real head coach?! I've seen the clip about 5 times with Matt Barnes saying "if we come to play we can beat any team." Well, a REAL head coach would have them coming to play every night. How did this team not win the Pac-10?

I knew a #1 seed was going down in the first weekend but I picked Maryland to go out instead of Cincinnati because I didn't think UCLA would "come to play." I HATE YOU STEVE LAVIN, you Pat Riley/Rick Pitino wannabe crossbreed fuck-up.

Just think how good UCLA would be too, and I mean right away. When Don James quit as the football coach at Washington they hired Jim Lambright, who was the defensive coordinator and had been a Husky player and had been with the program for like 40 years. He was hired under similar circumstances as Lavin was at UCLA and had a decent first year including ending Miami's 58-game home winning streak. So they kept him on as head coach for SIX years, never winning the Pac-10, watching a school like Oregon become (sort of) the conference powerhouse. Then he finally gets fired and Neuheisel replaces him and it takes TWO WHOLE YEARS to get to the Rose Bowl. That's what happens when you hire a *real* head coach, UCLA!

Well I hope UCLA comes to play against Missouri because Missouri seems to be at the top of their game.

The latest edict sent down from on high ... -------------------------------------------
As usual, I have learned another Bracket Lesson this year.

2 years ago I promised myself that I would never again pick Indiana in any brackets and it worked, until this year.

For the last 3 years I was on Gonzaga's bus, picking them to the Sweet 16 each time, but this year, I told myself that they could go farther, so I had them advancing to the Elite 8, stupid me!

And now, the lessons for this year:

Never pick against UCLA as long as they are a single digit seed. And never pick Cincinnati to go past the 2nd Round as long as B-Hug is still coaching.

The Bearcats might have screwed my bracket up enough to keep me from winningthe office pool, that remains to be seen, but I will not let them do it again.

I think if I was the last person on Earth, I would still wear pants, because I don't need to look down and have that kind of disappointment each and every day.

I used to think the same thing about Arizona until they crashed UK's party in '97. Fouled up a possible three in a row stint.

You forgot the other rule:

Never pick any team coached by Bobby Knight to get out of the first round.

Shows what a professional Steve Nash is that he didn't immediately punch Richardson in the face on sight during the first post-trade Phoenix/Orlando game.
