I came to The W to gain others reactions from Chyna's appearance on Howard Stern earlier this morning and didn't see a thread so I guess I'll start it! If this is in the wrong category, feel free to delete or move it elsewhere.

Anyways, for those that missed there should be a pretty decent writeup about it on howardstern.com, not sure when they will update though.

It was one of the best Stern interviews ever and even rivaled Courtney Love's last appearance. Chyna was either completely coked out, completely drunk or both. She was very incoherent and rambling, but from what I could gather she was speaking about how she was sent to jail because Sean called cops on her and how terrible that was...apparently she was "jumped" while in jail. She seemed to be on a huge downward spiral and Stern commented on how she seemed thinner and she said she hadn't been eating since she was depressed.

Sean Waltman then called into the show but that didn't help matter at all. She blames him for releasing the tape to the public and Sean just seemed really freaked out and concerned since Chyna was so incoherent. Sean even mentioned how Vince and H got him into rehab. At that point the bitterness against the E/F surfaced and Chyna said she wouldn't go back to work for Vince even for a billion dollars.

The segment ended (came to a crashing halt) when her brother came in and played electric guitar while she "sang" a "song" about Robin, Artie and Howard. It didn't make any sense and went no where, so that's when Howard cut her off and took a break. When he came back on, Chyna was gone but he said the interview was a "10" and one of the best in a long time.

It's up at MarkFriggin.com, and it's not pretty.

Howard took a call from Chyna Doll's ex-boyfriend Sean Waltman. Chyna Doll wouldn't let the guy talk, she just kept interrupting him. Sean told Chyna to just come back to the real world. Chyna Doll claims that he made a deal to put that porn tape out behind her back. She said that she was disgusted with herself after seeing it. Chyna Doll also went off on Vince McMahon calling him ''Vince McDick'' and saying that he owes her some royalties and stuff. Chyna Doll also said that she will never go back to Sean. The two of them went back and forth for a couple of minutes. Sean was saying that he never physically abused her. He said that just weeks before doing ''The Surreal Life'' she broke his nose after he told her about a woman he'd slept with that some point in his life. The delay button was hit a bunch of times as each of them were telling their sides of the story. Howard let them argue with each other for a couple of minutes. Howard let Sean go after a few minutes so he could stop the arguing. Chyna Doll told Sean to stay away from her from now on.

And she SANG? Uh oh, she was just warned about that.

It was times like this morning as I drove into work listening to her scream about how badly she wanted some coke, that I wonder if Vince McMahon hears about this and wonders if there's anything he could do to help her.

I'm actually serious.

I'm aware of Vince's alleged atrocities towards former employees and sometimes employees in general, but you consider that he and Hunter reached out to get Waltman into rehab because he was their friend, so shouldn't there be some place in his calendar to do something to get that woman some help? She's fallen so very, very far, and while much of it is self-inflicted, it's still extremely sad.

I listened this morning, and she was simply... gone.

I look at it like this ... I know my wife would be pretty pissed if my Dad reached out to a former flame of mine, after she'd badmouthed the both of us.

Really sad. Wactch some tapes of her from around 1997 or 1998. She seems a little odd, but also seems completely down to earth. I don't know what the hell has happened to her. This whole thing is just so.... sad.

There's some hideous pictures of her on http://www.howardstern.com. She seems to have really fallen into the gutter. Some stuff on the site might be considered not safe for work, so be careful.

Oh dear god that was wretched. At least that picture of Marg Helgenberger was there to get my mind right.

At least Waltman has tried to get his life back in order and gone to rehab.

Reading this thread and hearing about Jake 'the Snake' Roberts. I sometimes wonder why doesnt the WWE have some sort of pension plan..these people work hard and are sometimes let go for trivial reasons. I understand it is not the role of an employer to fund a person indefinitely , but in the industry these people are in, I would have thought there would be some recompense for those who worked hard.

Or am I forgetting that they get paid well while they are in the business and if they choose to snort the dollars up their nose, it is their own problem?

Well I would go out on a limb and say it had something to do with them working a job where they are constantly putting their body in harm's way and need something to make them feel better at times. Obviously that doesn't apply to everyone. At the same time a lot of people are just idiots.

Roddy Piper will tell you it's the crippling loneliness of the business. That's what gets so many people, the hours are brutal and even if you have travelling buddies you spend a lot of time isolated and lonely. I know people who can't be by themselves for a couple days without getting depressed, they always want to go out and do something and be surrounded by people. I would think that personality type would be demolished in a wrestling environment.

Stern is a scumbag who I have no respect for, but even ended the interview and drew the line, so you gotta believe Joanie is in a really bad way. Usually when someone seems to be out of control they play it up on TV and make a big joke out of it, but I can't imagine anyone finding that funny. Even if it's entirely the fault of the individual in turmoil, to take joy in their suffering is immoral behaviour. I'm not saying anyone in this thread has done that, but I do see a lot of it in general and it shocks me.

You know I did, and it was actually pretty cool and funny. That is until they got into talking about the finer points of Chyna's "clit."

O&A: What's up with her clit?
HHH: Dude, I dunno.

Yeah Triple H...I bet you don't .

That personality gets demolished in every facet of life eventually unless they get help.

Roddy Piper is a sad, sad man who can't accept any sort of responsibility for his addictions. He blames the promoters. He blames the business. He blames the schedule. He blames anything and everything. Just like Joanie Laurer in that interview. Blames Vince. Blames Sean. Blames Triple H. Blames Stephanie. She could stop it all if she wanted to.

I don't think it's wrestling that creates these self-destructive people. Its something about wrestling that attracts these people. The proof of that is guys like Mick Foley and Chris Benoit. They put their bodies through more abuse and outrageous schedules then a lot of those who have succumbed to the temptation of hard drugs. They have a laundry list of excuses as to why they should be dead or fried on drugs but they aren't.

Agreed on all counts. I wasn't trying to say that wrestling creates these personality types, or that Roddy Piper is a victim, or that Joanie is a victim.

My point was that it's not okay to point and laugh at someone in that position, which many do. But I don't think you're saying it is, so I guess we're pretty much on the same page here.

On the pension plan idea: The only time where Vince might have done that was in '96-'97 when he was bleeding against WCW and might have been desperate enough to do anything to keep talent. At this point, since he's the only place where wrestlers can make money in the US, he has no incentive to, so why spend the money.
Stern, Joanie and Waltman do have one thing in common. They are an answer to the question: Name 3 people whose best days were in the last millenium.

But Sean and Chyna go out of their way to make themselves punchlines. I'm not saying drug abuse is funny, but when you put yourself in the spotlight a la Courtney Love and make a spectacle out of yourself every single time, "pity" eventually gets overtaken by "mocking," and not undeservingly so.

You saw the Stern pictures, right? "Sad" just isn't the right word for that.

You could probably say that about at least half the posters on this board, yet I digress.

In all seriousness, I hope she gets the help she needs before we see a video tribute of her to open up a future Raw or Smackdown broadcast.
