"Put on your helmets, we'll be reaching speeds of 3!" "It was nice of you to give that dead woman another chance." "All right, look alive everybody...oh sorry Susan."- MST3K: Space Mutiny Click Here (myspace.com)
I watched it a week ago when NBC snuck it on OnDemand, and it was decent enough to warrant a temporary season pass, but that's mostly because I like to see how they portray electronics retail. The secret agent side stuff is going to have to be improved on a lot, though I am saying this after just the pilot so I should probably be patient.
Some funny moments (I need to check IMDB and see if Chuck's friend is related to Seth Green in any way, because he was doing a spot-on impersonation), but the premise to the show is ridiculous almost to the point of parody, like this is an elaborate SNL skit or something ... Seriously, "My Mother the Car" had a more believable premise.
I don't usually bother with TV comedy but I let the DVR record this to give it a chance. I got a real kick out of it; it was silly and it made me laugh.
Yvonne Strahovski is my new favorite hottest TV chick around. Un-by-God-believably gorgeous. I'm adding this into the DVR permanent rotation.
the Ennio Morricone music in the end killed me.
'But if one is struck by me only a little, that is far different, the stroke is a sharp thing and suddenly lays him lifeless, and that man's wife goes with cheeks torn in lamentation, and his children are fatherless, while he, staining the soil with his red blood, rots away, and there are more birds than women swarming about him.' Diomedes, The Iliad of Homer
Boll's an okay guy. He has a bad reputation for making lame movies based on games, but can you name anyone else who seems to actually care about making videogame movies? Didn't think so. The closest I can think of is Paul W.S.
