Widely reported that King Kong Bundy passed away yesterday afternoon. He was 61. Mere hours before his death, his official Twitter account tweeted out an announcement of an autograph show appearance, so something must have happened pretty suddenly. I'm sure more details will emerge in the next day or two.

Today we lost a Legend and a man I consider family. Rest in Peace Chris. We love you. Thank you for believing in me. #KingKongBundy

Today I learned that he wrestled as Chris Canyon before he was King Kong Bundy.

It's crazy that Hogan is outliving all of his Wrestlemania opponents (Piper, Bundy, Andre, Savage, Warrior, Yoko)

A shame. He was a pretty good big man and seemed like a cool guy. But in the ring he looked so dangerous.
That WM2 main event with Hogan in the steel cage was one of the first and only times my young brain feared for Hogan's safety.
And him demanding a five count is classic.

RIP King Kong Bundy.

Quoted for truth

He was pretty young at WM2. Had a unique look for a big man too. Made him all the more frightening.

RIP Big Man

Actually, I would have liked to see a mega-heel Canadian faction consisting of the Un-Americans, Benoit, and Jericho. That would have been great, but it probably would have left SD! in a bad way.
