As I watched the clip of Christian getting into his car, I noticed that the camera was at an angle where there was no clear shot fo the driver. Could it be that the driver will have something to do with this angle? I am thinking that if the driver is part of the angle, and it could be that he/she is not, then it could be one of three people:

1. A vengeful Diva pissed at Trish

2. Trish working with Christian to get back a Jericho thus turning heel and aligning with Jericho

3. A returning Edge who has targeted Jericho as the person who jumped his at the PPV last year when he got hurt and is back for revenge.

If it is someone assosciated with Christian, I hope it is a heel Trish, but I do not think the WWE will go that way. If this was a lesser PPV maybe, but not at Wrestlemania. However, a returning Edge, as a heel, makes sense because there is not enough top heels on RAW. (HHH and Kane are the only true ME players, with Orton and Christian being the top upper mid card heels). I like this scenario but feel the WWE would never bring Edge back as a heel.

Any thoughts?

1) Edge

2) It's not part of the angle and won't be mentioned again

I figured that it was just some crew guy that Christian offered money to drive him. They've worked my mind down enough that I just don't ask questions anymore...

I would actually agree with the edge theory, except for the fact that there is no way he's getting booed when he comes back. Trips was the top heel when he got took out a couple years ago, he comes back and hes the top baby, history should repeat itself, though edge is firmly midcarded.

I really suspect it'll end up being no one in particular. More like they just needed Christian to be able to get into a car - any car - and take off quickly.

In fact, if they did want to make a story around it, they could always say that whoever was driving didn't even know anything was up and was just waiting for Christian to get something from the lockerroom he "forgot." That actually might be a fun thing to do. "Who was the driver?" Some dumb schmuck who Christian then pins everything on when Jericho comes after him.

Christian should probably have an evil female sidekick. A returning Gail Kim perhaps? Or Bald Molly? He can rub some ass cream on her cranium.

If they're going to stretch this sumbitch out, you'd think they'd have to do some mixed tags. Lita is worthless right now so I guess you could turn her but it'd make more sense to have it be Molly or Gail in that role. I'd put Gail in the role because Molly's already pretty established on her own as a psycho prude.

Since JR and Lawler never even mentioned the driver, it was probably not part of the angle and won't play any kind of a role.

Coming back, getting the face pop, then turning is an established way of trying to get heat. [See, Bagwell, Buff]

That being said, my bet is on a bad woman driver.

I kind of thought it was a foregone conclusion that it was Trish. You know, the woman who was telling Jericho on the cell phone that she couldn't come to the building because she was in "physical therapy," just as he was about to get attacked.

Yeah, that was an intentional set up. I was wondering who would take advantage. How about a comedy routine. I'll be the straight man, and you be the non-straight man.

But in all seriousness, this storyline is allegedly has a lot of creative work done on it by Trish and Jericho. If they are like any pretty much any other wrestler, in the end they want to get over from the angle.

[The following goes straight out the window if the wrestlers merely have input on the dialogue or get over-ruled by the writers.]

What Jericho gets out of it is clear; he becomes the heroic, sympathetic babyface, washing away any prior images of a stagnating mid-carder.

So, what does Trish Stratus get? Well, she gets a lot of weeks in less-stressful non-wrestling appearances, or even non-appearances, as we saw last week. She gets to remain high-profile while the women's division builds up future opponents for when she eventually gets back in the title mix (something any over-exposed champion should consider doing). Her long-term goal, however, should be an eventual in-ring feud. I would like to think she or the writers is interested in setting up some matches and the best way to do this is if Christian has a female accomplice.

There are pretty much ways this can go if it's a woman to set up a future feud for Trish:
1. A debuting new female.
2. A returning old female (Gail Kim).
3. A currently wrestling heel female (Molly, Jazz).
4. A currently wrestling face female who turns (Lita, so Jericho owes Christian a loonie.)

Well, it could also set up a feud if Trish turns on Jericho, who hooks up with a sympathetic female, but I fear that would result in Rico being fired and an epic series of Trish/Miss Jackie matches.

Actually, though, I think we won't find out who's driving. Since JR and Lawler didn't give a hard sell of who was driving, I think this part of the story will simmer for a while and not be revealed by Wrestlemania. The writers probably haven't even decided for sure yet.

If the end result is Trish turning on Jericho and joining Christian, that can't happen until we get some false "guy finally gets the girl" scenes to really make the final swerve hit that much harder and to give the two a chance to show off whatever acting chops they may have.

I never really thought about it, but if it was no one important driving, why not have Christian just jump in a car and drive himself?

I'm just relieved it was a woman who made the joke about bad woman drivers.

Anyway, regarding the person who drove Christian's car, yo yo yo lemme speak on dis...

I think it had to have been the same guy who drove the Hummer-- that conniving bastard KIDMAN!

Either that, or it was Repo Man.

They've allowed the whole Edge and Christian being "brothers" bit to fade from memory. I wonder if they work Edge into the RAW roster when he returns, if they will revive the sibling thing with Christian. If so, the driver could've been Edge.

With that Trish theory, I think Trish is on Christian's side. She was on the phone with Jericho at the time and maybe he set it up for Christian to attack him. Anyways I would rather this be Jericho and Trish (Heels) v. Christian (Face). This should be good, I can't wait for Mania!

A few problems with the Bagwell analogy. First, and foremost, it should be an insult to anyone to use Bagwell as a comparison. A big difference between Edge and Bagwell is that Bagwell was injured as a heel, got the false face pops, then went back to being a heel. In Edge's case, he was a face before being injured, so it wouldn't be a double-swerve. Probably the closest example could be the Rick Martel turn of '89 after being out with injury.
As for the driver, it has to be Ralphus; still disappointed that his hero, his paragon of virtue, the person who he aspired to be like when he grew up, left him to rot in WCW and is now consorting with a trollop like Trish.

Hell, might as well be Lenny Lane seeking revenge on Jericho for using him in his feud with Malenko. Or maybe it was Prince Iaukea and Juventud Guerrera working together to get back the stuff that Jericho stole from them back in 98.

Did Jericho ever get his Loverboy tape back?

In the context of baseball, the use of drugs hurts only the player. In the context of baseball, the use of alcohol hurts only the player. In the context of baseball, womanizing hurts whom? Maybe the wife of the player? In the context of baseball, felonies are crimes against society, not against baseball. In the context of baseball, gambling is the only crime against baseball.

Gambling, in the context of baseball, is a capital offense and Rose has richly earned-- hell, he agreed to-- his death sentence. Let him hang.

It's Jeff Hardy....Jeff Hardy should be returning soon, to RAW in fact! Jeff Hardy to turn as well just like Matt did
Christian and Jeff will have a thing going. Edge will return to team with Jericho. Lita, Gail, or Molly will join with Jeff and Christian to start a prolonged feud with Edge, Jericho and Trish
