http://www.wwe.com/shows/raw/2014-10-06/todd-chrisley-appears-on-raw-oct-13-2014-26709859

The Authority may think they know what's best for business, but Todd Chrisley from USA Network's "Chrisley Knows Best" original series just might want to challenge that come Raw this Monday.

One night before his self-titled, real-life family comedy kicks off season two on USA, Chrisley will make a special appearance, live on Monday Night Raw in Atlanta.

The "Patriarch of Perfection" is infamous for quick-witted one-liners and an overprotective, extreme parenting style. (Ever met a dad with tracking devices on all of his kids' cars?) In the first season, viewers joined the Chrisleys for many crazy milestones and over-the-top family adventures. Will the Raw roster embrace Chrisley should the outspoken reality TV star try to apply his parenting skills toward the WWE locker room?

Plus, what will happen if Chrisley crosses streams with Raw's scheduled celebrity guest star, NeNe Leakes of "Real Housewives of Atlanta"?

Tune in to Raw live at 8/7 CT this Monday night to see what happens! Then, catch the season premiere of "Chrisley Knows Best" on Tuesday night with two back-to-back episodes of the laugh-out-loud reality series.

Monday Night Football it is.

I read that USA demanded three hours for RAW, and I can only presume they insist on a Chrisley crossover and the appearances by Kathie Lee and NeNe, also from NBCUniversael shows. So I feel for the WWE in having to integrate them into the shows somehow.

I can imagine, with no basis, that the Network numbers make the WWE more susceptible to contributions from their TV outlet.

Based on the ads and the promotional copy, Chrisley, wrestling wise, comes across as a weasel heel who thinks he's the babyface. He is in no way an appealing persona.

I have tickets for this show.

Hoping to all that's holy Steve Austin is still filming Redneck Whatever next week and drops by to give Erik Rowen a stunner or something.

Crank up the Adam Rose music to drown out the boos and bring on the "this is stupid" chants. This show sucks. Wake me up when October ends.

Appropriate reaction gif.

Seriously though, I've seen commercials but I still don't know what or who Todd Chrisley is and Wikipedia doesn't even have an article on him, just the show without any plot or backstory.

He's come into my place of work once several months ago. They dial up that personality of his for sure. Goddamn this company right now. I watch wrestling to not think about the garbage that non-wrestling fans and execs think is "entertaining" and I get shit on for being a loyal supporter of the product for decades by throwing in this non-wrestling related bullshit (involving celebs who trash the Wrestling fans when they don't have a teleprompter in front of them) and inconsistent goofy writing of the undercard.

I'm torn because I love NXT, Ambrose, Ziggler, Cesaro, etc but I really can't take WWE pandering to an audience so that Vince can sell his product like it's SNL. It's a highly successful niche product that has been around for decades.

I may not be giving up on the Network yet but RAW is finally starting to frustrate me. I think I'll skip a few RAW and Smackdowns until the ropes go back to normal colors next month.

CruelAngel, I've been watching NXT and the monthly specials only for a few months now. I think NXT is a much more compelling show overall.

Looks like I may skip next week's RAW. From the ads Chrisley's a no-name reality star prick who is not allowed anywhere near my TV. Plus another worthless appearance from someone else I'd never heard of. If I do watch I'll definitely be flipping over to FXX for Simpsons reruns pretty regularly.

What baffles me about this is that no one running the show these days seems to know who their audience is or who they would like their audience to be. It's just random crap that's all over the place. I'd be less upset if it was consistently kiddie stuff all the time. I mean, I don't even care if this idea was USA's or Vince's, but where do they think the intersection of wrestling fan, Chrisley fan, and Real Housewives fan is? What consumer does that describe?

Contrary to your point, Tenken, I think the issue here isn't that they don't know who their audience is, it's that they absolutely DO know and are in total denial about it. Crap like this allows them to pretend the audience is broader and more sophisticated than it actually is (I know real housewives is trash, but it's trash women 18-35 with at least some post-secondary education watch, and wrestling isn't). And they are fooling precisely no one, as their last licensing deal clearly demonstrated.

That's the thing, though. If that's what they want their audience to be (or at least include), there are ways to get to that point. If you want to attract women aged 18-35 (preferred demo is actually 18-24), then I shouldn't have to point out that RAW is literally three hours of athletic men walking around with their shirts off. It's not rocket science. Instead, we're watching them try to cross promote in ways that are alienating to the existing viewer, unlikely to reach the crossover viewer, and confusing to all parties.

Well, with Roman Reigns and his beautiful, beautiful hair off my TV for a few months, they've got to hold our female attention somehow.

If I may...how many episodes of television featuring NeNe Leakes and/or Todd Chrisley have you watched? (Is it more than zero?)
