Is this a huge promotion for Johnny Curtis or a huge demotion for Chris Jericho? Yes it is.

In a Dancing With The Stars-themed feud?

Do we have any robot-centric superstars to match up with Chris, to at least promote his current TV project? (Other than the robotic Khali...)

We went from expecting a future classic Ziggler-Jericho Mania match bay-bayyy to...this?

Will it also be Fandango's debut match? Will he somehow stall that long?

I find it hard to believe Jericho will ever pronounce his name correctly.

I'm now fully on board with this decision. I CAN'T WAIT!

(EDIT: ...assuming it actually happens. Doesn't Meltzer usually overuse his "keep in mind these are the current plans, which change daily" macro when discussing things like this?)

This excites me to no end. As someone said in the RAW thread, this Fandango gimmick rules.

I actually have a theory that Jericho legit wurked Dave giving him misinfo about a Jericho vs. Ryback feud. Genuinely wonder if this is the same thing.

The problem with people expecting a classic Ziggler-Jericho Mania match is that people would be expecting a classic Ziggler-Jericho Mania match. Given WWE's issues with properly time managing Mania in recent years, there's no way people wouldn't complain about giving that match the right amount of time. And given the recent treatment of Ziggler, he might've gotten the 18 second treatment. Ziggler-Jericho would be doomed to fail.

And this isn't? Jericho win, he buries the guy the first day out. Fandango wins and you can see the fans shit all over it, due to how nuclear popular Jericho is and this is just some indy guy. Even if they gave Ziggler/Jericho, 5 minutes, it might be the best this show has or at least stable. They're top three matches all have part time guys who can easily get gassed or kinda broken. Ziggler and Jericho can at least give you a good match even if its short. I am one of the few guys who are ok with short, good matches, I don't believe in the 20 minute class theory.

Agreed. I would rather watch a bunch of solid 10 minute matches than two boring 30 minute matches.

And this is a no win for Jericho or Fandango or the fans for all the reasons lotjx stated. I would rather have Fandango squash a mid carder and have Jericho/Ziggler. But since the WWE has never listened to me before.....

Life is hilariously cruel.

I'm game for it. One thing I love about Jericho is that he's willing to give the rub to the new generation. I would have loved to see Jericho/Ziggler, but Johnny Curtis is excellent. I'll miss his creepy NXT gimmick, but FandanGoooooo is fun, too.

I don't doubt that it'll be a decent match, assuming Curtis is up for it...but seriously...Chris Jericho came back for THIS???

Also, I'm ashamed of myself for not recognizing Fandango's gimmick connection with Dancing with the Stars before. Of course Vince created a gimmick to capitalize on Dancing with the Stars roughly five years after it stopped being relevant. Of course he did.

I don't nor have I ever followed Meltzer, so I feel this is weak pre-concieved April Fools joke. I highly doubt Johnny Curtis goes from NXT loser to having a match with one of the most over guys currently on the roster at the company's biggest yearly PPV.

TV or it's not happening.

I am legit excited for this. Goofy Jericho is a welcome change from "hypocrites. parasites. I AM THE BEST" Jericho. Maybe Jericho handpicked the guy, who knows.

Perhaps it will go down like this:

Jericho comes out, Justin Roberts introduces Fandango, who does his spiel about pronouncing his name wrong, leave and Jericho throw out an open challenge, leading to Ziggler coming out.

He's a show-off/doesn't have a WM match yet.
