That seems to me to be a bit of a contradiction. Evaluating someone's mental health from a few fifteen minute conversations during a funeral service when people are going to be emotionally fragile anyway...

I always hate these hindsight should have seen it coming articles anyway because most of the time the things that they describe as warning signs could describe ME on a bad day.

(I would say any of us, but I don't want to point fingers. I think a lot of people get moody, depressed, uncommunicative at times. Doesn't mean that they automatically go on a killing spree though.)

I didn't realize Bruce Hart was a "wrestling legend".

Chris Jericho did a great job on CNN last night. Vince should hire him as a spokesperson. He was almost too smooth, like he was auditioning for a part or something. I miss him as a performer.
As close as he was with Benoit even HE was never told about Daniel's condition (Fragile X)-though in hindsight it was pretty clear to him that there was some form of autism. He said that Benoit was so private, he doubted that he told his own parents about Daniel's condition.

I know it's been covered twice now, but why again exactly are we dismissing the Wikipedia thing? Because the person was a prankster that made false entries previously?
That still doesn't explain how they could know something like that so early. If they were just making it up-- how coincidental is that? Unless they were confusing Nancy with Sherri Martel who recently passed away.

Especially when you figure out how to use the page linked above (which took me awhile to do).

Once you click on the link, you'll see a list of articles edited by that IP. If you click on "diff" for each one, you'll see a side-by-side comparison of what the edited section of the article looked like before and after the edits. For example, if you look at the 2 edits to Stacy Keibler's article, in one edit he added "She also has a nice large ass that any straight man would like to spend a nice with.", and a minute later he added "People want to fuck her in her lovely cunt and whip her ass til the dawn of day. Many people fantasize about ramming their cocks up her asshole."

I wont c&p all of the similar edits to the other articles he made, but reading through the type of vandalism he did is what convinced me that this was just a crazy coincidence.

They fudged the time stamp on the post to make it seem like it was posted earlier than it actually was. I thought this was brought up earlier in this thread.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day, know what I mean? Even if the time stamp wasn't fudged (which the founder of Wikipedia was saying couldn't have happened on FoxNews last night), someone assuming that the vague reason given for Benoit missing the ppv was "family emergency" was a death in the family isn't a big jump (tho that's giving this guy a lot of credit, its far more likely he just thought that was a good sick joke to make given what the fans knew at the time about the ppv no show); even the people I watched the ppv with on Sunday had speculated that maybe the vague "family emergency" was his wife passing away.

From what I hear it's just some UCONN kid named Marc Dagz (someone on another board recognized his name in one of the Wiki edits and found his Facebook entry I guess, whatever that is) who thinks it's funny to deface Wikipedia. Which, honestly... it's Wikipedia. That sort of thing happens all the time, but like I said about the broken clock...

A quick Google search on the name shows that whoever did it has come out and revealed it was just a poorly timed, sickly coincidental prank...

Hey everyone. I am here to talk about the wikipedia comment that was left by myself. I just want to say that it was an incredible coincidence. Last weekend, I had heard about Chris Benoit no showing Vengeance because of a family emergency, and I had heard rumors about why that was. I was reading rumors and speculation about this matter online, and one of them included that his wife may have passed away, and I did the wrong thing by posting it on wikipedia to spite there being no evidence. I posted my speculation on the situation at the time and I am deeply sorry about this, and I was just as shocked as everyone when I heard that this actually would happen in real life. It is one of those things that just turned into a huge coincidence. That night I found out that what I posted, ended up actually happening, a 1 in 10,000 chance of happening, or so I thought. I was beyond wrong for posting wrongful information, and I am sorry to everyone for this. I just want everyone to know it was stupid of me, and I will never do anything like this again. I just posted something that was at that time a piece of wrong unsourced information that is typical on wikipedia, as it is done all the time.

Nonetheless, I feel incredibly bad for all the attention this got because of the fact that what I said turned out to be the truth. Like I said it was just a major coincidence, and I will never vandalize anything on wikipedia or post wrongful information. I've learned from this experience. I just can't believe what I wrote was actually the case, I've remained stunned and saddened over it.

I wish not to reveal my identity so I can keep me and my family out of this since they have nothing to do with anything. I am not connected to WWE or Benoit at all in anyway. I am from Stamford as the IP address shows, and I am just an everyday individual who posted a wrongful remark at the time that received so much attention because it turned out to actually happen. I will say again I didn't know anything about the Benoit tragedy, it was a terrible coincidence that I never saw coming.

I hope this puts an end to this speculation that someone knew about the tragedy before it was discovered. It was just a rumor that I had heard about from other people online who were speculating what the family emergency Chris was attending to. I made a big mistake by posting this comment on his page, since all we had were what we thought was going on and nothing about what actually was going on yet, and sadly what happened turned out to be my speculation at the time. I assumed wiki would edit out my information, which they did, so thats why I didn't go back to edit it out myself.

I know I keep repeating it but I feel terrible about the mainstream coverage this has received, since it was only a huge coincidence and a terrible event that should of never happened. I am not sure how to react, as hearing about my message becoming a huge part of the Benoit slayings made me feel terrible as everyone believes that it is connected to the tragedy, but it was just an awful coincidence. That is all I have to say, I will never post anything here again unless it is pure fact, no spam nothing like that. Thank you, and let this end this chapter of the Benoit story, and hopefully one day we will find out why this tragedy ever actually happened.

Yeah, he says that the last time he saw Benoit he was in pretty rough shape mentally, then later says that he mostly saw Benoit at the funerals of their friends. Well: Fuck. What kind of shape is someone *supposed* to be at when at a funeral for a close friend?

As much as I've backed up Bret Hart's dislike of McMahon over what has happened in the past, this article seems like more of an attempt by Bruce Hart not to paint Benoit in a certain light, but to bring as much grief to Vince McMahon and the WWE as possible. If he blames Vince for the deaths of his friends, the death of his brother, buying Stampede Wrestling out, Bret's WWF end, etc. it certainly gives him reason to try to hurt them when they're most vulnerable, as distasteful as it may be if that's what he is in fact trying to do.

For the record, I thought Bret Hart came across as good as one could on PTS the other day. Anyone who wants can listen here:
http://www.fan590.com/features/primetimesports.jsp

If nothing else, you do get to see why Meltzer commented that the Canadian Press have been more interested in the real story, rather than just dismissing it as a raging Incredible Hulk that lost control once too often.

Actually, Warrior says the segment has been rescheduled thanks to London. He'll be on the show Monday.

This isn't the place and the time, but holyshit Jericho cut off his hair. Also, Jericho was excellent in this interview.

My wife is a teacher and all of the women at her job were talking about all of the stuff that's been said about Benoit on TV this week. The whole "First he was a Horseman, now he's on RAW. What a demotion!" thing, the "Roid Rage" theory, the "Vince/WWE knew Benoit was a murder when they paid him that 3-hour tribute" thing, some people are convinced Daniel was only 2 years old, and of course the "I bet they use this as a storyline now" thing. All of my wife's co-workers believe all of the above is true because they heard it on TV or the radio or wherever. She told them that I was a "wrestling expert", which I'm not sure is something to brag about (or true), and she tried to set them straight on the real facts so far, but all this other stuff is out there and people are eating it up.

As much as I hate for THIS GUY of all people to get TV time to talk about the state of wrestling today, you gotta admit it's gonna be hilarious to watch the hosts refer to an old man as "Mr. Warrior" on national TV.

I've been waiting to hear from Jericho on this since it happened. Not that I think it's his duty or responsibility to, but (aside from being a Jericholic) because he always seemed like a pretty media savy guy and would know what to say and how to convey to ignoramuses (like Nancy Grace) what happened in a fair and honest manner.

I also heard he did Larry King last night and if anyone has a link, much appreciated.

That was a great Jericho interview. He comes off as so smart and savvy, it shows you just how talented a speaker he has always been. It makes me miss him a lot but at the same time I also feel that after all that has transpired in the business the past couple of years I think I would rather guys like Jericho and the Rock never come back. Maybe they can actually live until they are 50 or 60 or even long after that.

I know that folks are going to begin slapping their own foreheads when a triple murder theory is brought up...

But I *must* ask some questions...

--Where was Sullivan during this time period?
--But did they check to see if he actually called the airport? It was Delta, I think, who he said he called in specific. Were the reservations made? Were one of the phones dialed to a Delta Airlines number or a travel agency something on Saturday (when he supposedly told someone that he called them)
--What were the Scripture verses that were texted?
--Were the Bibles open? Were they pointing to a particular verse?
--Were there any other phone calls made (they have the cell phones...)
--What do his other children say? Was he unstable in their eyes?
--One more...was he particularly good at using technology, typing, etc...?

The reason I'm asking these in a public forum is because I don't want the issue to fade away without these types of things being answered.

Listen, virtually no one...NO ONE (besides Bruce Hart, who saw him what...3 times in the past 7 years?) saw something like this coming.

I'm not really concerned about getting eyes rolled. These are logical, valid questions. If everything "fits" so well into a double murder/suicide, then that's the way it is, and the answers should reflect such.

But if not...

These are questions worth asking. Surely there are others out there that are asking these same things...

It's a theory I'm sure the police would have been thrilled to explore if all the evidence in the home didn't ALL point to Benoit.
