Something for the Zims: it says there are currently 17 wieners on line and 31 chickens and no Googlebots.
Can this be correct? Are there really twice as many chickens as wieners at any given time on this board?
If so, wow.

Could be - we get lots of lurkers, lots of search engine wanderers, and lots of people who don't realise how many spiffy graphics they're missing by not logging in...or perhaps they do. ;-)
Also, people who use proxies with shifting IPs may get counted more than once if they happen to change the IP we see within a five minute period.
ALSO also, other 'bots don't get separated out.

The three 66.196.81.* addresses belong to Inktomi Search, 205.188.209.140 is an AOL proxy, and most of the rest are dialup/cable modem addresses (charter, comcast, rr, attbi, with a couple schools thrown in). So really, it's probably 22 chickens and 3 spiders, but that's still more chickens than the 14 users logged in at the time.
Hopefully the fact that we get so many people wandering by is at least a small testament to the "quality control" I *attempt* to exercise now and then. Hopefully again, the people who DO contribute might consider how many people are actually reading and put just a LITTLE bit more thought into their words. (Hopefully, but unlikely ;-) )
