Well, the Saints tried to make a game of it, but Brees ended up making too many mistakes, so my wonderful "why didn't they go for 2 each time when they were down 16-0?" story was completely forgotten about in favour of the "geez, probably shouldn't get pinned in the end zone and make a stupid intentional grounding throw 'cause it's alllllll downhill from there" story.
I have no problems with the Bears winning, mind...I was just hoping for a WEE bit more excitement. That 9-0 stretch really had me concerned I was wasting my time!
Time for the AFC game... Hmm, when was the last time "60 Minutes" DIDN'T air? (Probably a Super Sunday? I can't remember a prime time championship game before tonight....but then again, my memory IS going...)
Nothing personal, but I'll continue to pick against them :-)
I'm pretty sure that your continued picking against them is what has propelled them to the Super Bowl.
I never would have guessed the game to look like that. I thought the Bears would win, but that it would be low scoring and close. If you told be the score would end at 39-14, I would have assumed the Saints ripped the Bears apart.
I could not believe that the Ravens lost. It wasn't pretty, and my expectations for them in the AFC slipped a little bit. Ravens fans, what the heck happened? I second the opinion that this is one of the best starts to the football season(s)
