Wow. I was just looking at his iMDB profile today (I thought I caught him doing a guest spot on The Cosby Show but it was another actor). He lived a long, productive life.

A true giant in the movie biz.

We were up at our usual early morning hour today (kids), the sound was muted on the tv and I saw all the clips on the news and guessed he had passed. I'm sure AMC will be showing all of his movies in a loop for a bit which is great, but I'm hoping whoever has the SNL re-runs will re-show the ep he hosted. Although I must confess that I would want to see it just as much for Paul Westerberg being the musical guest (and the hilarious/sad bit at the end where Mr. Heston can't remember Paul's name for the outro).

R.I.P. Mr. Heston.

It is a good rule in life never to apologize. The right sort of people do not want apologies, and the wrong sort take a mean advantage of them.

Someone can finally pry his gun from his cold, dead hands.

CRAP - they're canning COLD CASE? I love that show. The music was great, and it had some great camera work. The cast was pretty cool, too. Oh well. There are too many of those police dramas on TV...but why couldn't they can CRIMINIAL MINDS instead?
