Didn't "New" to the left of the category used to signify that there were new posts in that category (only)? *

I seem to be getting "mixed" versions of that right now. I just looked at the ladies forum and marked it "read" and the new went away. On the flip side "Movies & TV" is designated as "New" in the far left column, however there are no items in there showing as having new posts.

* Let me clarify. I realize that the "new" forums probably have to be set to "read" with the topics from Random moved, but I had already marked the "Movies & TV" as read earlier this afternoon. (Hmmm maybe you moved something after I marked it as read?)

Edit: Clarified what I'm seeing.

I haven't experienced this. The chevrons do not work until your initial "mark forum read" but after that it should be normal.

Sometimes the new designation can get out of whack if a thread is deleted from a forum without a script being run on the server. It doesn't look like this happened this time, though.

Let me know in a PM if it continues. This might be a local issue with your browser - next time refresh the page and see if it fixes it.

I think its cool the way the board is evolving. I was just at insidepulse and I realize how far away it is from a wrestling board, so I see the trend. Somewhere down the road will you change the ranking system to reflect something other then wrestling?

I don't mind the changing priorities of the forum, I just wish I didn't have to move all the way down the page to get to the wrestling portion of the forum.

I do like the Other Sports forum VERY much. Plus, the change to "Current Events & Politics" helps clarify (for me) where to put some stuff.

Great job, guys.

Interesting changes..but the board still stays the same to me.
No problem with scrolling down a page to get to a folder I wanna read. Who cares (other than being lazy) where the folder is placed? Does the level of content change? Do the threads suck now because it's lower on the list? I don't think so..

And Guru is right, the focus did change despite wrestling still being an important part for many of us.
Over the past months I started reading more in other folders , and I found a great deal of interesting threads.

I gotta say, I will miss the mish-mash random folder. Loved the chaos in there But a movies/tv/dvd folder is great too

Kudos to the brothers Zim, thanks for a great board in the past, present and future!

Maybe if Google would finally start indexing stuff from the "the-w.com" domain name ... Has there ever been any confirmation on when exactly that will happen?

We'll probably start sending whiny complaining emails after it's been six months, which will be...middle of October? (They do seem to be correctly crawling the site anyway) I keep saying "you'll wish we WEREN'T so accessible when we're crawling with idiots" but yeah, I rather prefer using Google to trying to make our homemade search work better/faster/at all.

Nice job guys. I like it, I like it a lot.

I came here originally for the wrestling forum, but found myself posting in many other areas much more often. Now I am surprised when I actually do post something under wrestling...

Nice Job ...

I guess the movement of Wrestling is a real life metaphor ... I dare say wrestling isn't what it once was, priorities wise, for most of us.

I like it. I haven't been reading much of the wrestling forum lately, anyway. Baseball is the forum I'm digging at the moment, because this season has been much more exciting than wrestling has in a long time.

I haven't been posting much lately, anyway, but I like the evolution. The baseball, video games and politics forums have been my favorites for a while, so I guess I'm indicative of the changing interests on the board.

Nice job, fellows.

Nah, I wasn't paying attention either, but rolled the odomoter past another sextuple zero on Thursday afternoon. YOU weren't around either, the honour fell to a guest. Closest on either side were Lickicat (60999967) and OndaGrande (61000006).
