Thursday night on TNT at Arco, the Celts play one of the two teams in the league that they don't match up with at all (Dallas is the other), but with a 4-1 record on a 6 game Western Trip, this game will be played with house money. Plus, no Webber means if the 3's are falling, the C's might be able to steal a game at Arco, and have one of their best West Coast swings of my lifetime (this is even counting the glory days of the Big Three). Unfortunately, unlike the Portland game last Thursday, it will only be on TNT. I pray to God that Marv Albert is not calling the game. Then again, if he's not, that means it'll be a John Thompson crew. TNT really misses the old Stockton/Hubie announce team. Hopefully, Hubie will call some playoff games since Memphis won't be anywhere near the playoffs.
The only military skill provided by the French is demonstrating the methods of surrendering.
Pierce leaving Boston would be on par with Kobe leaving the Lakers. It won't happen. This does seem like a Win-win; - Pierce takes a paycut, Celtics win. - Pierce gets more money than what he might have if the upcoming CBA talks cut monies.
