How hurting was TV this weekend that my afternoon sporting choices boiled down to the Celebrity Golf from Tahoe and the Great Outdoors Games from Lake Placid....Chris Webber shot a 3 round total of 407 but the big news was "Little Morgan" jumping 29 feet in the Water Dog Jump - serious airtime for that dog and it is obvious that there was little to no airtime in any of Webber's shots

"Tell me a story Jack."

"Fuck you."

"Oh, that's one of my favorites."

On Steve Czaben's Fox Sports radio show, they actually killed two segments by just reading the scores from teh first round of the celebrity golf tournament. It was very funny, guys like CWeb and Barkley shooting over 120 in one round.

I apologize to all of you who find the great outdoor games boring, but I actually rather enjoyed them. First men scaling 60 foot tall poles (Freud eat your heart out), and then this race where a pair of breasts, I mean young women, raced accross logs which bounced a lot. I don't know about you, but that's like a whole afternoon's worth of entertainment.

P.S. - before I get flamed by a woman for writing that last piece, know that I'm just kidding. Sorry, gotta look out for my own ass.

I spent the summer of 1981 working as a woodcutter for 10 cents over minimum wage - I have vietnam type flashbacks whenever I see an axe.......

the women's endurance defending champion was one scary looking hunk of woman......

A couple of things on the GOG --

"Little Morgan" is the shiz-nit. Any dog that gets that high in the air is beyond me. Rumor has it that doping tests were called for. Anyway, it was a beautiful sight to see. Talk Soup Moment of Clarity -- Morgan jumped 28' 6" twice... not 29'.

The decoy retriever part's the best... watching a dog go straight for it, then at the last second turn for what could be a squirrel is the best.

Oh... and Chaz -- you make such a disparaging insult, yet when looking out for your ass you make the first comment about men and 60-foot poles. ;P

GOG rules.

I've been thinking of trying to find someone locally who could do work on boots like that. I guess I wouldn't need a cobbler... A tailor would do that? Oh well, thanks Jag & Merc for the input.
